Just wanted to say thanks again as I completed your route to the end safely and boy am I glad to be out of there
Pyroo Eohn XF-L D9-0 (page 6, 4th one down) is definitely a binary hazard. At least it kicked of my fuel scoop as I entered the system. Just to let you know.
Here is a shot of the shortcut between Syneayoi JH-U c16-0 and Syneayoi FC-D d12-2. Longest jump is 33.2LY:
Puwee XV-E d11-3 is a very dangerous, potentially lethal close binary. It's not in Karaya1's original route, but it's close enough to be automatically included by the route plotting.
When arriving into this system, my ship glitched through one of the stars and landed directly into the surface of it which faces to the other star (or maybe even inside the star, it happened so fast...) In other words, i landed into a flaming deathtrap.
It is a close binary, so the only way out was to immediately accelerate and quickly find a "fresh" escape path between the two stars. Thank god it's not the first time i find myself burning between 2 stars, so i didnt try to do anything stupid like jumping or disabling hyperspeed. My ship ended up suffering light damage only, so i had quite a lot of luck.
Nice done, that's a good find! I inserted your infos into the first post.
Do you know how many jumps exceed 33lys? (Or 32.64ly? But that's not so important.)
As your map is south-oriented it may confuse people in the beginning (it did me). I can see the reason behind it. But maybe you can put some arrow towards north, or Sol, or Beagle Point for clarification. Of course not as crude as me:
@Karaya1, done.
As far as i remember, there was only one 33.2ly jump. Most jumps were around 20-30ly, but i remember there were a couple jumps longer than 30ly. Sorry, can't tell more precisely.
It's about 40-50LY from Puwee YV-E d11-2 but you can't directly jump from one to another, as they are in, lets say, "parallel roads".
However, if you are plotting your route in chunks of 10-20 jumps, there is a chance that the computer chooses one "road" over the other one.
as I never went to Podar I never checked out Route 33 and went home straight from Beagle Point.
So Smuggler's Path and Route 33 appear like two branches of the same corridor through the Abyss.
And I must say that I used the idea of Route 33 to never exceed jumps of 33LYs (voluntarily or not ;-) for finding suitable jumps for Smuggler's Path.
I have just bothered scanning the water world in Puwee KM-W D1-0, near the start of section 3. I hope not to die, so that world should stay scanned if you want to change the note next to that system.
This may have just saved me. I have been stuck in the outer rim since May. And Route 33 seems to have disappeared from EDSM just after I noticed it. I'll set a course and see if I can finally travel to a region where my navcom works.

For some reason Route 33 had been turned Private instead of Public in EDSM. This should be corrected now. In addition I have added a bunch of waypoints so the EDSM list now contains app. every tenth system of the 340 systems of the route.
just checked Puwee KM-W D1-0. I can see your tag at the water world. So you did survive [up]
I remember that one... Couldn't be bothered to fly 418 kLs.
