I have a negative feeling about the way Unidentified Signal Source are handle for smuggling mission (actually more recovery mission). It look like you make the USS spawn where you are and sometime it does not spawn at all because the spawn rate is very low in some system. BUT what you find in a USS when you have a mission is often certain, so no more random (the first USS being the good one). Another oppoint that bugs me is that sometime I enter a USS when there is another nearby and when I get out it disappeared!
I would love to have a more coherent USS system : When you get in a system the game should create an instance and generate USS all over the places, one of them will be the one you are looking for but you will have to really look for it and the location will be random (now you somewhat summon the item at your location). USS according to type will disappear or evolve (ie if a USS is a pirate figthing a bounty hunter, it may evolve either in a pirate alone which might live or try to interdict merchant around or it can evolved into werck of the pirate with its loot flighing around to be picked up). New USS will be generated as need or as result of player action (if a player kill a pirate and leave the loot behind then another player can come get it).
Will it make the game better?
