We definitely need more snakes in Planet Zoo. Since at best we will only get a few more species, I would like to see Frontier focus on iconic species with a balance between constrictors and venomous species and global geographic representation.
  • Black Mamba Snake. Yes
  • Eastern Indigo Snake. Would be very low on my list for NA colubrids. First choice would be any of the milk snake species. Other options are kingsnakes, cornsnake, California red-sided garter snake, or Everglades ratsnake. I definitely wouldn't pick a second black snake after the mamba.
  • Blue Racer Snake. A 2nd NA colubrid is not justified. Also the Blue Racer is not a common captive species, not well known outside of its native range, and its dull blue-grey body doesn't make for a particularly captivating display animal. How about an Asian colubrid? Rhinoceros ratsnake, mangrove snake, beauty snake, bamboo ratsnake.
  • Green Anaconda. Iconic as the world's heaviest snake, but a tough sell after the yellow anaconda. It also doesn't fit well in the current exhibit model, which is probably why Frontier picked the smaller anaconda in the first place.
  • Green Tree Python. Yes
  • Reticulated Python. Yes.
  • Tiger Snake. The last thing we need from Australia is another venomous snake. There are so many gorgeous options to select from: carpet python, woma, black-headed python, white-lipped python.
  • White-lipped Island Pit Viper. A tropical pitviper is needed. White-lipped Island Pit Viper is a popular selection. I personally would pick the Eyelash Viper, for a colorful charismatic pick, and the only SA representative on this list.
  • Cottonmouth Snake. I would choose the Copperhead over the Cottonmouth. The two venomous species
  • Indian Cobra or King Cobra. ONE cobra is definitely essential. These are the two most iconic options.
Edit: @AlexSea the Gaboon viper is definitely on my list of must haves.

I agree that we need more snakes in Planet Zoo.
Just to let you know, the Eastern Indigo Snake is blue not black & Tiger Snakes are venomous.
Also, what is it you don't like about the Blue Racer Snake?

The eastern Indigo snake is black. Just because it has some iridescence in direct light does not change its color. You would get a lot farther with the argument that black mambas aren't black (for the sake of this discussion we'll just agree that they aren't colorful).
I know that Tiger snakes are venomous. That's why I clearly wrote that we don't need another venomous Australian snake, like the Tiger snake, since we already have the Eastern Brown and Common Death Adder. I listed multiple non-venomous Australian species as a substitute, because clearly the void that needs to be filled for Australia is non-venomous snakes. The game needs more non-venomous species as many zoos won't even keep "hot" species due to the increased costs, security, and training required, and they are harder to source. There are zero zoos outside of Australia holding tiger snakes.
I already provided a concise explanation arguing against the Blue Racer. AFAIK only one zoo, Cincinnati, is holding the blue racer. There are so many snake species more deserving of a spot that would be useful in helping to recreate reptile houses within our virtual zoos.
