...so about the interstellar initiative bridging the gap. Can someone make it a bit clear?

OMG

When they said that an interstellar initiative would last for a month I did not imagine that it would take weeks just to reveal it...
Week 1 was a forum vote.
Week 2 was megaship taxis and outposts in Guardian system voted for in Week 1.
Week 3 will be?
Week 4 will be?

I don't know, we got a mail, we got a vote, let's see what else we can do? I think I'll wait for the ferry to go life.

Maybe the Interstellar Initiative hasn't really started yet. Maybe it's all forshadowing yet. Maybe the Initiative is going to really start on 16th.

To me it's still not clear what we have to do...
Do we have to grind blueprints for weeks or what? Do we have to go around ruins collecting relics, activating totem?
Is there any new gameplay associated to this interstellar intiative or is it the typical gameloop that we already know?
Is the scope of this to have guardian ships (fighters) and modules in the normal outfitting page ? Will we have a new guardian ship?

Where can I find all this clear information?

At this stage

We are getting ferries and outposts to better facilitate the collection of the guardian items and blueprints
The existing process will still be there but complimented with new USSes & NPCs to allow for Piracy and Salvage of Guardian materials, and a Research installation to interact with

So if you want to head out to the Guardian area to complete the Ram Tah Missions, or unlock Guardian tech;
You have the option on boarding a mega ship that will ferry you there on the Thursday
or
If you chose to fly there yourself, there are going to an outpost as a way point along the way and an Outpost to dock at when you get there, in addition to the Megaship ferry to dock at for larger ships.

There may be new Guardian Modules to come in the future, as well as a Guardian Materials Trader coming but how far along the story line is needed before they appear is unknown, I don't expect them to be there day one, but I dont expect there to be a new guardian ship.

Perhaps this is a lead up to first contact with the remnants of the currently assumed extinct Guardian race?

Maybe the descendants of the anti-AI faction is all that's left, and their technological level has degraded, such that they need human assistance with demystifying their ancient tech to regain it, and this will be the basis of a new alliance forged for pushing back the Thargoids.

Later, Ram Tah will mate with a Guardian, and their child will find Raxxla, but they won't tell anybody where or what it is.

I'm sure I'm right.

No idea.

I looked at the "Community Goal" doodad on the Mission Board but it was empty so I went back to looking for Raxxla... which requires me to fully engineer a shiny new Phantom 'cos I don't want to arrive at Raxxla in a clapped-out old AspX.

Want to make a good first impression when I arrive. (y)

The goal of this Interstellar Initiative is clearly to bridge the gap of content until the end of 2020.

In hind sight, they really shouldn't have hyped the 29th of April when it's almost three weeks until the first thing actually happens in game.

We should vote on it.
AFAIK the vote for the megaship tranfer is finished.
-----> the joke

:p

I really am not fond of jumping any length out into the guardian bubble without being 100% sure that there will be something to do there...
But I guess we can be 86% sure..

its 42 JUMPS in my pirate ship!!!!
Isn't that what the ferry service is for?

This thread delivers for sure - keep it coming 😂

Without a new paintjob!? o_O

Two mega-ferries, two outposts and a research facility added on Thursday along with Guardian salvage and trade convoy USS.
We will have new ways to gather Guardian materials, but nothing in-game to do until the 16th May when we hopefully some kind of community goal.

Actually, things begin tomorrow. The Outpost and Science Installation will be in place and we'll have to see what mechanics they're going to be. They've hinted that you can pirate things, which means either other ships to pirate or you can help raid the installation or we can 'Scavange'. Guess we'll find that out how to do that on Tomorrow's live stream.

My guess is the science installation will be used for scanning coms devices for module and vessel blueprints. Maybe even stealing some relics from storage.

There isn't anything happening yet, as the ships aren't active and the stations aren't there yet. It's that simple.

Thread about Adam & Will explaining - and demonstrating - all, tomorrow 9th:

Looking forward to carrying out what ever game changing, galactic shenanigans they have in store for us.
I will mainly be eating dry weetabix whilst doing mine.
