Hitpoint inflation is ridiculous enough without cheating lol.
Week one: sign up for Prismatics and go mining.
Week two: continue mining and rank up Imperial ranking with the Mainani (sp) loop.
Week three: buy Cutter and mine more
Week four: buy everything the internet tells you to, fit prismatics and engineer the lot. Then go PvP.
Week five: complain when people beat you in PvP.
How many fully fitted cutters do we all see in Open that have Master Cmdrs at the helm....they can’t all be alt account griefing accounts, can they?![]()
indeed, let's not waste time.
i feel sad that i was the one making you aware of the CAPS, it's like rule number one out here.
The world and the people? Nah. Just a few overbearing nutcases who read things into things people write and the way they write that were never meant to mean what the nutcases think they mean. And then - as usual - the bleating sheep follow their lead.the world and the people made those rules, if you dont like them you have no obligations to stay.
just like "grammar ". the one who disrespects his own language is the one to blame.
strange world today where stupidity is a value people are proud of.
Some never could even before power creep.Another milestone of the powercreep cycle. People cannot tell the difference between legit and intended gameplay anymore.
Properly built ship. Check. It was to some extend fitted for Trading but still had my C8 prismatics in there, 4 Burst lasers (2big,2medium) engineered on efficiency, 1 huge MC (corrosion is a good Friend) and 2 ammo cap engineered packhounds. I can run all weps on 2 pips and hardly go dry so i can keep 4 pips in shields and only switch when the situation allows/requires it.
I might have been trading at that moment but flying in open i dont go unarmed.
also,

if you want to go to bed more educated than this morning when you woke up, google those terms
EFF
Netiquette
Usenet
and in another domain which is not that far, in fact : RFC.
the network you use has rules, history, customs, they're not "made up", they made the internet, and they made it possible.
(and when we see what's left of it, sometimes i seriously think it's about time to burn it down and rebuild it with a lot less people using it)
if you have time, i strongly recommand "halt and catch fire", it s only 3 seasons.
putting one word in caps may emphasis as you say.
starting a message with the message's target name in caps is equivalent as calling your dog out loud in the street
and i am not a dog, even if we are on internet (you can dig this one too, the metaphore is deeper than you might think)
edit : i was wrong, it's rule number 2
People make the rules so that it is a more pleasant place to experience.Really - rule number one? How sad.
Ya know - if words like THIS offend you then do words like this get you off? How about words like this or this?
So darn many snowflakes, grammar 's, etiquette this and that in the world these days. Who makes all these STUPID rules? It's a wonder that some of you people can even get out of bed and leave your houses in the morning to interact with the real world.
i was working in an internet company in the beginning of the 90s
you are wrong.
"fact"
Yeah... Big DEAL.
I was using Arpanet in 1970 at Texas A&M University before anyone thought to call it the internet. You know. The system setup in the USA so that in case of nuclear war the military could stay connected to itself. And then universities got wind of it and opted in and before you know it voila, the internet. And yes I am that old. And no we didn't have any stupid rules back then like the sheep blindly follow today.
And I stand by what I said and that you conveniently ignored concerning the written vs the spoken word. The written word is not the same as the spoken word. Spoken communications contains many more cues to what a person is saying and means than the written word can given the same amount of time to communicate. Hell, man. Most spoken communication is done with visual clues provided by facial expressions and body stance and movement (something like 80%).
Thus taking away visual cues from the written word like bold, larger, smaller, color just makes the whole process of communicating via the written word more difficult than it needs to be. Mark Twain said about cursing and the Victorian prohibition on same, "that there are so few really descriptive words in the English language that it's a shame to restrict the use of those that are...", or something to that effect. And the sheep want to prohibit the use of visual cues in the written language because someone lost to history on some BBS back in the 80's or 90's decided it meant the writer was yelling. YEAH. RIGHT.
I won't, cannot deny the culture of the internet that exists today, it is what it is. But I will refuse to follow it's silly rules and always deny it's value and practicality.
And here's another clue for ya. Just because most accept something and follow it blindly doesn't make that something right. 1000 years ago most of the common folk believed the world to be flat. Do you?
i was working in an internet company in the beginning of the 90s
@Werewolf : the guy got mad and starting to yell my name using caps because i was not immediately here to reply to his post.
he was not emphasing anything
and it was rude.
i dont see any sheeps there, and i m definitely not fixing my plane's engine in the middle of the desert.

An under-noticed response, and absolutely on the money.
Not suggesting we all go back to stock sidewinders, but this deserves some serious consideration.
For myself I know some people think I'm a bit 'funny'.
My hull tank Krait can take a HUGE amount of punishment.
It runs cold so I'm often toggling Silent Running.
I've got 3 MRPs so I can soak up some module sniping.
The guns are Frags and PAs fully engineered and the PAs have Target Lock Breakers.
And if I can see I'm going to get into some PvP I will synthesise Premium Ammo across the board.
So if you are a mid ranked combat pilot with limited PvP experience, I'm this hollow square that keeps disappearing; you get shots on but my hull doesn't go down like you're expecting, if I get shots on you it hurts way more than you thought, and if we head on ram you will be slammed and I will walk away.
But I aint no haxor.
