Horizons So apparently nothing has changed...

Now that might be acceptable to you but it is not to me. That is like saying I bought a car where the motor only ran 5 days out of the week instead of 7. Or the lights only work every 3 times I hit the switch. Yet some of you expect me to ACCEPT that in this product when I would NOT accept that in any other product?

I understand your frustration but your automotive analogy is way off. When people buy a car they expect it to be perfect from the factory. If it is not, they issue recalls. (You can relate that to a "patch" to fix a particular "bug" if you like). The difference is, automotive "patches" relate to possible life-ending or serious injury issues that the car has. This is a game. Do you see where I'm going with this? Apples... oranges.

Also, Horizon's hasn't been out all that long. Even with life-threatening issues and their recalls, some auto manufacturers wait months - sometimes years - before issuing a recall. If they issue one at all.

Come back in 5 years and I bet you can do missions like passengers.

The only reason for the lack of Passengers' missions would be FD wanting to make it have a more realistic impact if you screw them...

...which makes it acceptable for them to not having deployed such content yet...

The game is still very much only in its infancy, and already I have more I would like to do then I have time to do it.
Personally I am enjoying what's offered a lot; enough to not worry about some of the mission types I never do, and bugs that pop up.

The game is expanding/going to expand quite a bit, and growing pains will be inevitable. Not everyone will find what they are looking for. I can't wait to see this thing get some more meat on its bones myself, but glad I am getting the chance to support its growth while enjoying myself as much as I do with what is essentially, only the beginnings.

Denial is a bitter dog that bites when kicked. +1 OP

Just wait for Season 3.0 and then 2.0 will feel like 1.5 and you may hear the sames things all over again.

The game has by no means come close to my expectation but I am still here patiently awaiting more content and fixes.
Software development takes time and with a game of this magnitude it will take time to fill our universe.

Keep the faith.

I also left about 2 months ago because they removed fun missions (that paid well too) and replaced them with almost nothing (that also paid badly). Of the few new missions that were available in their place, half suffered from some form of bug or felt very placeholder-y.

I'll come back when any future patch gives us an in game reason to do stuff besides amassing more billions for ships that are (if we're honest) only 'different' rather than 'better'. Like factions have proc-gen agendas/faces/backstory, player actions have an impact on them/BGS and the missions are both bug free and numerous.

I'd rather have ships that are 'Different' than have ships that are 'Better'...

Having a 'better' ship would mean that everyone would aim for it and, ultimately, everyone would fly it. It'll make pointless having ship diversity, and even now we have a situation that's pretty close to it.

With this I don't deny that we need some improvements to the ships and their weapons though. There's a painful lack of large and huge weapon types. (No Huge class lasers of any kind, or Large Multicannon.)

Just I want to be able take more different approaches to the game...

PS: I agree that removing the Long Range Smuggling as it was was a poor move by FD.

Actually, when someone punches you in the face you indeed should not get angry. Likewise with other body parts. Obviously you should stop it from happening, and you may need to resort to physical violence to prevent further damage to be done, but anger plays no useful role there. There is nothing wrong with taking action against what one perceives to be unjust or undesired, but its generally best to do so while keeping feelings of anger, rage, vengence and such out of your mind whenever possible. Even if only for your own sake.
...and if you can't fight back? You know what I meant.

Some people like that sort of thing... Interesting that you equate an emotional outburst over a game one has a choice to play with physical trauma (assuming you meant the victim has no choice in the matter).
You missed my point.

Maybe you'd like to discuss this rubbish on teamspeak? We'd save time. I bet you have a lovely voice... ;)

And the game is still exactly where it was back then.. Missions that don't work, ...

I'm with you .. more than happy seeing Horizons released, but state of it is nowhere near finished. Seems more like a stage for things to come and do in the future.
I have played more than 200h in the last year, but frankly lost interest after release of ED:H.

Lack of information from FDEV (i.e. ridiculous News letters with one concept art picture and 20 links to Frontier Store), not releasing any major bug fix in the past 3 months since ED:H release, delaying 2.1 for "some time in the summer" .. all that is very frustrating for me.

As many, I pre-paid ED:H in 2015 and put fair amount of trust in what FDEV will deliver in Season 2 .. seeing all that delayed for almost half year is starting to frighten me and I would not like to loose that thrust I put in FDEV, and more important, I would like to see that things promised (I'm sorry, but that what it is when taking money in advance) eventually come.

I dont agree
When playing ED I dont encounter many bugs. The only bugs I encounter sometime are
getting stuck in transition when engaging/disengaging supercruise
Invisible asteroids while mining, limpets flying inside asteroid

The missions, interdictions are not bugged. The implementation and mechanics behind those are horrible so it may seem they are bugged but they work as intended.

From my opinion if FD miss 2.1, ED will be finished.

Horizons is not a commercial success.

We were promised seasonS of expansion : for the moment we haven't seen quite a lot.

Lot of promises, but sadly nothing incoming at the horizons...

My recommendation to my friend : do not buy it until they fix it. What I am afraid : it won't be before 3.0 if season 3 come out one day.

My friend list is 200 people wide. Everyone is offline, gone or in a break waiting for content ...

No... Merely redirected you back to the one you seemed to have missed. :p

<hehheh> It serves it's purpose... but I've been told, it sounds much like a cross between a badly timed 1939 Chevy Flatheat and a gaggle of old alley cats going at in an aluminum bin.

This likely isn't worth the extra trouble of changing servers from Discord...
