So is anyone using the over complicated new trade data?

I tested in beta and I found it really clunky, impratical and very difficult to use.

That's interesting. Because I just checked your posting history and couldn't see a single post from you that gave any insightful or useful feedback about the new trade tools during the beta when it would have actually been relevant.

Perhaps I missed it though - could you link me to the post(s) where you gave appropriate feedback?

Played around with it for several minutes last night. I did manage to use it to find a good place to sell the 22 platinum I got from a mission I had just turned in, but instead of the 902kCR I was expecting I only made 458kCR. At first I thought it was a bug...till it dawned on me that my three AI pilots are eating 50% of my earnings.

Two of them are gonna get axed tonight, for sure.

In any case--it's far more click work than using EDDB, so I'm not sure I'll use it much. I'd really like to see them give some love to the galmap in VR, as I might use it in VR but using the galmap there is still a pain in the posterior.

You can't have something complex and easy at the same time, it's one or the other. You can say that it's not intuitive, but I don't think that is the case here.
I found it very useful, and I can't believe we didn't have anything like this up until now...

Yes, I suppose it comes down to, is it any more convenient or better than 3rd party sites?

If not then it's pretty redundant.

Surely that depends if you use any 3rd party sites. As 3rd party sites are not up to date, I would say it's much better. But whether you like it or not is down to personal opinion.

As to myself I don't use any 3rd party apps, so I find these tools superb.

That is a silly statement, they compliment each other. The new system was never supposed to make 3rd party sites redundant. As always, for fast up to date info I use in game trading, for help regarding places I haven't visited or need to source a commodity from anywhere, I'll use Inara or EDDB.

It took fiddling to get the penny to drop, but I find it useful.

It would be good if Winging up allowed you to share trade data so you. Can get more info. But apart from that a good first step!

Yeah, I imagine you probably do.

Fair enough.
