Horizons So my beautiful python has been mothballed

And i have bought myself a corvette (so i can make use of the fighters) and you know what i am pleasantly surprised. give it grade 5 dirty drives grade 5 reinforced shields grade 5 F.S.D and am about to fit a weapon enhanced distributor. Haven't visited Todd yet but when i do i wiil get to try it in battle. Cant wait......... Still miss the Python though.

Working my way up to a Corvette too.
I lack the rank. I am Post Commander.
And I don't have enough credits to A-rate it either. Will be a nice project to work for.

I won't be selling my A-rated Python or Anaconda though. I love these ships.
I also have a D-rated Cutter. Not selling that one either. Best trader in the game.
And my fighters; Viper Mk IV, Vulture and FDL are keepers too.

I switch ships regularly.
Currently the engineers commodities are what's keeping me out of my specialized combat ships.
Need engineer commodity storage badly.

Sold my cutter to fund the corvette good trader but worst ship in the game. Good riddance to it.If i need to make money will just outfit the corvette for trading.

English it not my native language so i may not understand you correctly, but did you actually mean that a corvette is a bad ship? If so, you are definitely doing something horribly wrong.

Have a modified Cutter, modified Anaconda and modified Corvette. Cutter is the worst ship of all 3 except for the speed and shield strength. Corvette is the best for me. Anaconda is pretty good

I think he meant the Cutter is the worst ship in the game. Which also means he's doing something horribly wrong.

The Corvette is the best choice, but seriously, if I had a Python right now, I wouldnt be too fussed about having one weedy fighter to save me in the heat of battle. To my mind, fighters are good for the Keelback, Type-9 and maybe Orca/Dolphin, as those cannot defend themselves, but on a big ship its like a tiger with a fly turning up to a wrestling match against a bunch of Rhinos.

Tried them both in the beta, they both wallow like pigs. Even though driving an Anaconda is like waltzing with a fat lady, it flies SO much better than either the Corvette or the Cutter. I sold the Corvette and Cutter and now switch back and forth between my Anaconda and Python (or Asp-X), depending on mission landing pad size.

Cutter is the best ship in the game. Best shields, can't be mass locked, equip with only multi cannons and laugh as people can't kill you.

Corvette is ridiculous as it can do every role except explore, and all the 'elite corvettes' combat log anyway.

Python has lost to power creep.

I have been been flying the Corvette since the day it was introduced into the game.I am rated elite. I fly in open, and have never combat logged. Iv been destroyed 3 or 4 times ingame, but won most of my fights.

I get sad reading threads about selling the Python; it does not deserve it!

I still fly my Python when I want to do some reckless and crazy; Fully engineered it has 2k+ shields and almost as much hull strength. Wonderful fighter now, with all multicannons.

My Cutter is doing great as an armed and armored long distance everything, sporting class 3 and 4 pulse lasers and 4 missile batteries; all engineered. Even at class 6 shields it does not need SCB's for Elite wing encounters. I love it! As a matter of fact I am farming Federation rep in it right now.

My Corvette is doing all the dirty work the two others don't dare commit to. Simply Put.
If I could have a custom painted slogan on the Corvette's hull, it would say "Bring it on, Ladies!"

But frankly, that would be the exact slogan for my Python as well: It is a very good ship for its class!

I have done the reverse. I spent a lot of time modding my Corvette to be a purely combat ship and it's awesome at killing anything and everything. Recently however, I took my Python out of mothballs, and kitted it out as my dedicated mission runner. I am really enjoying the freedom it gives and how it really excels in this role. Possibly the best ship ingame for general purpose mission runs imo.

Non engineered shields with no Shield Boosters on a Cutter can be removed with 1 ram from a Clipper with engineered engines to get a 600ms boost speed stacking hull reinforcements.

I bought a Corvette quite awhile ago and found that I didn't really like it, so I got rid of it. I thought that the beta would be a good chance to experiment, so I'm currently running an A'd up and heavily engineered Corvette, and I still don't like it! I don't think it's a bad ship, but it certainly does not fit my style. I think seriously that it's a bit of a fish out of water as it's really a Naval vessel that would serve much better at fleet screening functions than anything we would use it for. I'll stick with my Python and my Annie for now and see what happens with game play in the future. I'm thinking about the Cutter, but I have that -68% friendliness with the Empire thing to contend with. :)

Fly Hard!
