If you asked just once, i'd be surprised if you got a timeout. Normally just your message would be deleted I think.

I think its easy from what i remember to add a timeout though as you delete a message. Could have just been a misclick or overzealousness on the part of the person moderating your comment.

What you do in those situations is go, ok, not happening here, i'll follow up through a more appropriate channel.

What you don't do is start shouting about the violence inherent in the system and claim you are being repressed. Because that is a good way to get the mods clamping down on you.

If there's one thing I learned from groups like SDC, it's that these kinds of tactics are the ONLY way to get noticed and get problems addressed by FDev.

Sorry, no. That's a screenshot, which you are free to present how you want in the context you want. We don't know if you made other messages, what the content of those messages were, etc.

I'm sorry for being distrustful, but i've been on the mod side of streams. I've seen the whole "help, help, i'm being repressed" far too many times, while seeing the actual story where the person has gone into a complete meltdown, making downright offensive posts, spamming chat with it, and then acting all innocent.

I'm not saying you did this, but i hope you can appreciate i'm not going to accept this at face value without seeing a full unedited picture of the situation.

Regardless, like i said, the first timeout should have been a good clue that it wasn't the time or place to push your agenda.

Choose your fights wisely.

That isn't true at all. There are plenty of places where criticism is allowed. Just take a look around, it isn't exactly hidden. Hundreds of comments on the patch notes threads, hundreds of comments spread across dozens of threads in Dangerous discussion, probably more in Suggestions, etc.

Standard operating procedure for FDev in forums and now chats.

Banning/deplatforming is the world we live in today. Think what the thought police tell you to think or go away.
