So, the coolest carrier class is...

Drake class? Nautilus class? Fortune class? Victory class?

Nautilus class is the one that seems to me more like a science/exploration vessel. Love the start trekkish front, and overal the front half is very well done. However, it has my least favorite rear half. Has overall my favorite front half. Rear is a bit too flat and a bit bland on top, and the lower appendages look like space testicles. Engine layout is the least cool of all IMO. Looks longer than the others.

Fortune class has a more utilitarian / industrial feel. Balanced looks, the front is a bit flat, but love those light beams. Also has my favorite control tower, on the back and to the side, looks like an aircraft carrier. The engine layout is nice, the back half overall is perhaps the coolest IMO. The underbelly is balanced, not over the top. If the front was a bit more like the Nautilus, this would be my favorite choice hands down.

Victory class seems the most military looking of all. This has the coolest engine layout IMO and overall all of the back half is very nice. I like the control tower position, although not as much as in the Fortune class. The vertical hammerhead front is also very cool. The underbelly is also balanced, not spectacular but not over the top either. Overall it has the most aggressive looks of all.

The default Drake class, is slick, not over the top, a bit thin and not spectacular, but overall very nice indeed. I like the rear control tower and the antennas. Not the best looking at anything in particular, but still looks quite nice lines, and has no glaring visual flaws.

The carrier livery selection screen is a bit buggy, so the Drake pics are showing incorrectly "Fortune Class Carrier", but it's actually the Drake.

Nautilus has my favorite front, but my least favorite rear. Fortune has my favorite rear, and my least favorite front (wish I could mix the two). Victory sits between the two, my second favorite front, my second favorite rear. Most likely I'll end up sticking with the Nautilus, ifm anything because of it's sciency feel.

So what is your personal favorite and why? :)

Victory is the one I went for, and while I have now checked out all models in game by visiting other carriers, and like all of them, it's still my favourite. So no buyer's remorse here.

I just prefer its profile over the others, although Nautilus was a close second.

Nautilus is a kilometer long cup holder. Its a rich mans door handle.

I hate the Drake because its pointy and boxy in all the wrong ways.

I like the Victory, but its ruined by having too many flippers. It needs to have two taken away.

The Fortune is crazy utilitarian. I disliked it when I saw it, but at least it has a narrative to it that fits the flippers and boxiness.

Hmm… the Victory class is quite good looking, but I also like the Nautilus class for being smooth and plain. (I took a look around one with one of my Alts, all white colour with those pale turquoise engines… really nice )

Edit/P.S.: but I nearly hate FD for charging us for an other ATC voice. The original one is so abysmal bad and nearly not understandable they should at least rework that a fair bit imho

Fortune class for sure. Because of the loaded underside, it feels more like the classic star wars capital ships.. which makes it feel right.

  • I love the rear end of the hammerhead, its epic.
  • The nautulis wants to be the best, it even looks functionally the best with the landing pads at the extreme end, but there's something about it that's just dumb. With the tower at the front it looks like they've just tried to tick the boxes. The diagonal sticks out the underside also seem like its trying too hard to impress.
  • The basic carrier looks really good in tactical graphite. If you just want something do that.

I think im about to buy some arx. :(

What's with all the flippers though?! Frontier seems to have an obsession with wings and flippers. They are not functional, and they are not cool. Aargh!

Drake class...…………..it's free for my 5b in game credits deposit. Shove ARX, I only spend ARX gained in gaming @ the 400 pw cap. I'm not give FD extra money for Trinkets. They should be free, or we should be able to exchange in game credits for ARX, some other mechanism that doesn't involve spend extra real £££/$$$ for ARX.

Im just not looking forward to when they release new ship kits that make them look like the mini me's of the imperial and federal capital ship. Course would already have one of these clunkers by then... but how could you not? :)

Agree on ATC, although the stock one isn't the worst - that would be Hannah and you have to pay for that lol

I went for Madeline, again I sampled some of the others by visiting other carriers and Madeline was the right choice. Very pleasant on the ear.
