Been here since Alpha, not happy with the lack of BIG releases since Horizons in 2015. Not happy with a lot of decisions.
Still don't want a refund on my LEP. And for the record, my own thread suggested FD actually double down on the Gnosis incidentWe need MORE content like this, obviously the playerbase needs 'an adjustment' period.
Best comment in a very long time. Sour people seek bad things, even when they bath in good ones. Taking a step back to breathe can indeed be very healthy.
I also agree, that it has been a long time since an update delivered true wow. Beyond series was meant to at improvements of the existing parts and Frontier did a lot there (yes, there are bugs left to fix and there are features that still could use some love). I am hoping for the Q4 update, to bring back at least a little wow. And from some wage words by FDev, it might even bring some cool surprises. So let´s wait just a few weeks more, until we can unpack a new box of toys.

I did not enjoy the Gnosis content. I put together a Chieften Thargoid hunter and set sale on Saturday afternoon to go and help. One of my friends in another part of the world was "stuck" there.
Got there Saturday evening after a lot fo jumps, at least I learnt some galactic geography and how to get round Col 70, so that was nice. Jumped in, to practise my rescue attempt and see what is what. Couple of players milling around no Thargoids. No Thargoid cultists, no trapped AspX desperate for help. Jumped out 8MM and went onto nd account.
This morning renentered winged with my mate. No Thargoids, no other commandders, no eveil cultists. Oh and no other AspX to save. My friend launched jumped out, and beat me back to the bubble by a good few hours.
Morale of the story, well there are 2.
1) When someone thinks they are trapped cos of the forum ask them to log in on that account and actually look before doing 80-90 jumpd.
2) The Alliance Chieften is not a good armed explorer. Think that is the Condor's role.

Didn't take out any community. The vast majority of the player base didn't even take part in it. It's also space, and you knew it was going into Thargoid territory. That was all on you if you took that chance. Same as if you gamble in a casino. Do you complain and want to be repaid after losing at blackjack?

With that kind of incrimination in the OP, I'd say FD shouldn't even bother and continue with their current plans. FD can never win even with all the good things they've done taken all and quickly for granted. Let those who are disgruntled, leave , take a break or whatever, they'll all be back again anyways when the next milestone updates arrive next year, or whenever. It's not like the Gnosis attempt at roleplay on FD's part was really such an egregious issue deserving a boycott such as EA's attempted forcing of players to buy lootboxes just to advance in SW Battlefront2. Even if the Gnosis jumped into a system with nothing new except to jump back out of the cone permit locked region because FD deemed to just focus on finishing Beyond Q4 and not spend weekend time to make some special thargoid attack for the Gnosis , these same kind of thread OPs would still be there to want to rake FD over hot coals; FD can never win here, may they stay on course.

The guy payed money for a product - he’s unimpressed - so he complains on their forums. IMO When you pay money, you’re entitled to opinion. Especially when that money, may have been obtained through promises of future content or conjecture.
I’ve seen plenty of evidence to the contrary. I believe most had a problem with the bad management of the event PR, not the actual event.

FD are not going to keep customers by shoving a EULA in their face. You want I should explain it to you?
