So There it is...

The true intent if the new BGS rules: To overwhelm and crush small player groups under the sheer volume and weight of dozens of conflicts.
Once again, the Imps (and other superpowers get what they whined for) - a systemic abuse designed to decimate small player groups.
Pretty scummy, even by FDev standards. I won't get driven to a nervous breakdown, I know of a few who have been already, but I wonder how many more people will.

You can let the Space Loach and it's love interest out of hiding now. The damage is done.

Intent. The history of the BGS "fixes" has been leading to this point.

Remember the quote, "Let the bloodbath begin." just issued in a "BGS fix message?
The bloodbath is what was intended.

The game reflects the real world; when it comes to human interaction and greed.

The only way a small 'independent' anything can survive, is to have something really special, or unique. Otherwise, something larger, doing the same thing; will consume the smaller. Big fish, eat smaller fish and so it goes. Just nature doing its thing.

What you talking about. You make reference to something and don't say what it is exactly.

No matter what, old BGS or new BGS, large groups can and will crush small ones. Them's the breaks, Commander.
Sounds like it's working correctly to me. Small Factions should form alliances with other small Factions, so that they can team up against a common enemy. Standard diplomacy in faction-warfare gameplay.

I've just re-read the vague OP, and there's another possibility: their Faction expanded too far and fast, controlling many Star Systems, without the fleet/logistical support to maintain control of said Star Systems. Time for them to consolidate their untenable position, and recruit more members.
