I guess you missed the garbage that is littering the hangar - pizza boxes, empty cans, paper flyers... all of them firmly stuck on the floor. You get to see them at the same time with "magnetic boots engaged"

Well, if there is no specific gravity in the area and you have been drinking enough beer, the alcohol will determine where the floor is and you will be holding onto that.

On another note, hangars in outposts and planetary bases should have hazardous atmosphere as they are exposed frequently to the outside without any reliable airlock functionality. The lifts would then serve as airlocks.

Clearly in the future everything is laced with magnetics to make it stick to the magentized surfaces.

Especially the food and beverages judging by how the inebriated patrons can stick more than just their boots to the furniture.

You can see the atmospheric shielding in the slot - but it's not present in the hanger. Take an Apex to an outpost, then turn around and watch the departure...
