So what's the plan with the creation labs?

Just been watching some videos of JPOG gameplay and was interested they were putting 1 incubator per enclosure - and then saw an IGN video of JWE doing the same. Is that the usual was to do things? I was thinking of only having a single lab (they are quite expensive, and I don't want to be switching between lots of them) and then 'coptering the dinos from a holding paddock into their final locations.

I guess that might not scale once you start creating lots of beasties - what do you think?

In one of the videos I watched one of the devs said they did that. They would have 1 creation lab with an enclosure and they would make the Dinosaurs there and then have them transported to the main enclosure so they wouldn't have to build a lot of creation labs.

In this game you don't have to put the creation lab/hatchery inside the enclosure. It works a bit different than they did in JPOG.

Personally, I do feel that it's going to take up spaces and cash.

I think one of the main reasons they do this is for the cutscene when introducing a newly incubated Dino. Dino can't come out from nowhere. If I'm right, I hope the outer portion of the creation lab can be made much smaller (normal size for the central - allowing upgrades and stuffs but smaller versions for branches).

If not, I think this IDEA from UnseatedDonkey is pretty awesome! For me, I will do a centralized creation lab at the middle of circles of enclosures. The only problems though is - I need pedestrian bridges.

I will most likely have one in each enclosure for 2 reasons. I like to see how the dinosaurs roam and the second is that you have to pay to transport dinos.

Oh, didn't realise you could increase viability using the lab, thought it all came from gene splicing. Is there a good video to see the lab options - most seem to just select the dinosaurs and not look at the other tabs at all.

For me, I like the way to create a single Creation Lab, when I played JPOG I remember all the ways that my park could create, the last one was to make a small island fenced and created my dinosaurs, compared to this game is that in JPOG time it stops and was something that I did not like, in JWE apparently, when taking the decision to transport a helicopter comes by and takes it to the desired location in real time and this for me is the cherry of the cake, very well achieved and very well thought out and really is what I was looking for.

I think I will create at least 2 or 3 creations labs in my park (depending on the construction area), if the park is wide then in an open area with gyrospheres and different species then there will be an exclusive Creation Lab, if what I'm looking for is to create individual enclosures then I will build them, but I will also make a small one and place my other Creation Lab with views for my visitors, the created dinosaurs will stay there for a little time before being taken to their original enclosures. for me I think it's the most realistic way. (Also, they are too big)

Could you answer me how much the dinosaurs' transportation cost ?, At this moment I do not remember and I'm in my work.... and my work has blocked the YouTube page, in fact I can not play any video. :(

You first have to research the upgrades but you can have up to +30% viability.
Meaning that if you have a dinosaur with 100% viability, you can change it's gnome to 70% before it will start to decline the viability.
BestInSlot made a video about it, I just don't know which one it is.

Once I'll get my hands on the game I'll decide on the best approach. In JPOG I used one hatchery only mainly for space and financial reasons. This is also my plan for JWE. But we'll see.

Wait hold on what do you mean one upgraded for viability? Didn't know that could be done still not 100% on how viability works.

Viability is how much chance your dinosaur has to successfully incubate.
The higher this is the more likely it will incubate, the lower it is the higher the chance it will fail.
You can raise the viability by extracting more dna and you lower it by changing the gnome.

Here you can see the viability stat has a +30% and he will talk about it more, the video starts at the right moment in the link. :)
