I've heard from several commanders about Code commanders who've been seen around the system working the BGS. Sorry, but the evidence of Code's activity in the region appears to contradict your claim.

Then the CODE aren't so bad. I'don't have my cohorts pirate Mahon players, we mugg them!
We let them live most of the time though. We aren't malicious murderers after all.It's rare we get the opportunity given the way the game is often exploited but enjoyable when it happens. Then we leave that player alone for a full 24 hour period. Any more is at the point where I would consider it griefing.
We're nice people, that at times, do some not so nice stuff in support of our cause.

Seems fair enough to me... What part of him describing the post as "ignorant" did you think made him appear to be trying to look "great, intelligent and important" ?? It looked more like he was, ya'know correcting an error.

You would be correct that I and many other very well known and even 'original' members of The Code did not post in that thread. In my case it's because I came into the game late (August 2015), and have only been part of the group since the beginning of 2016. That being said; what's your point?
Also, for a group that this forum seems to like to call 'irrelevant', you guys sure do love starting and posting threads about us.

To be fair I think it's been discussed a few times. I joined this forum in early 2015 (I bought the game on Jan 13th) & was aware of the C.O.D.E vs 'The Code' story quoted above.
It's just a cool, piratey kind of name. No need for conspiracies IMO.

Well, to be fair to the Code - a good response to a BGS attack is to let it happen, and then tidy up when the aggressors move on.
And also to be fair, the Code have at their core the toughest and least supported gameplay in Elite.
PvP piracy?
It has so much resistance from players, it is so easy to avoid, it doesn't have much support from Frontier in terms of career and mechanisms, the Code and Kumo Crew were constantly hammered in BGS and PowerPlay. And yet PvP piracy was always a central tenet of Elite's development.
Although Majinvash (the voice of open) was irritating - he was a constant advocate for Open.
That's a good thing. Solo and PG should rightly be seen as somewhat shameful.
SDC push people out of Open for reasons that barely help the game. "Through the canopy Emergent Content to even the most junior of players". My black Asp.
The Code? - If you left Open because you wouldn't give up some cargo to the Code - well your ePeen shrivels like you've jumped in an ice bath.
