So whats with yamiks?

This is probably going to explode in horribly toxic ways but it i've been watching him for a few weeks cause some of his stuff was amusing enough but my question is:

i've noticed a lot of dislike for him in the forums which i get from his videos it seems like he more hates the game and devs then likes but besides that did he do anything to earn the dislike or is it his coonstant "everything is a failed and masturbation jokes"?

I've only watched one video and it seemed like some sexually depraved autism. His style doesn't appeal to me

Some people kind of play the game by watching his videos and then make forum posts about it

I appreciate that he creates content for the game on youtube. His camera work (dancing srvs and bouncing ships) is entertaining imo. He's still trying to make a game with 3 basic mechanics (scan shoot scoop) look interesting after several years. People tend not to hold back on the forums with their pov.

He's a frustrated Latvian man who's well known for going on tirades about various facets of various games.

There's no shortage of puerile humour in his videos either.

I personally find him entertaining enough, you can probably see he's not for everybody.

Aside from the fact that in his Youtube video he sounds more 11 than any 11 year old I have ever heard speak, I have nothing against him. I just have no interest in a second hand discussion regarding his opinions on this game in this forum. So when he and other Youtubers get brought up, I go "meh whatever". It's difficult to discuss an opinion with someone that is not actually here.

Some people think 'influencers' have had too much power or weight, its a response to that, more people wanting their own voice to be heard after the 'insert latest debacle here'

Yeah he can be funny but funny in the way I look at someone that criticizes everyone else with no self awareness. He was over the top critical about the crazy earnings with mining/slf exploit. FDEV removes the slf exploit and now Yamiks goes rabid vs the devs and/or their leaders for taking away fun in the game. Its as if he's not aware of the last video he posted. I find that funny.
