So why do I get wanted in Orerre when shooting ships with a bounty?

I just had a quick look at the galaxy map for He Bo. This is the system with Krylov Ring in it? While some areas of that system may be anarchic, there is a democracy government at that station, it's part of the Alliance, and there is a different controlling faction at Roddenberry Station, so I suspect it's not an anarchy system. As Steve72 says, check the system info panel bottom left in your HUD. That will tell you the controlling faction, and will specify Anarchy if there is none.

I just logged in to check and it absolutely says anarchy on the hud. I'm logged in now and I'm looking right at it. You are correct about the faction, though. the hebo social revolutionaries have a 60% influence, and are aligned with the alliance. that explains it, but it should not be listed as anarchy then. bug.

Anarchy does not mean no law. Just a very limited/zero ability to enforce it.

I dont even think that system is anarchy anyway. I was there the other day.

Erm. I don't think so.

The dictionary definition of anarchy is:

"a state of disorder due to absence or nonrecognition of authority"

"absence of government and absolute freedom of the individual, regarded as a political ideal"

Obviously, FD's definition may differ, but I doubt it.

Take a look at the right panel, under the system minor factions tab. If the leading faction hasn´t an anarchy government then it´s due to the galaxy map not being updated. I don´t know how often do they update the galaxy map, might even be in a weekly fashion.

There shouldn´t be no problem if you shoot any ship at all in an anarchy system. Other way to check it now that I think of it is just seeing if there are ships with a wanted status. In anarchy systems ALL of the ships show the "clean" tag

I have been to systems that had anarchy 'areas', where presumably the influence of the government / controlling faction doesn't extend, and the HUD reading will reflect that. You may have been within the range of influence when you attacked the ship.

There's no law in anarchy systems Ste. That's why you can mindlessly shoot everyone without being tagged as wanted.

I was in a RES..and if it wasan anarchy "area" security wouldn't have engaged. Unless some parts of the same RES have different levels of security. It's a bug/bad map info. good to know this, though.

He bo is currently a democracy. The controlling faction is the revolutionary party.

And Orrere is corporate and independent.

The galaxy maps does indeed bug often when it comes to properly showing changes in authorities. But the system map doesn't (at least it never has for me). Always check the controlling faction there.

I put in a ticket on this. Happened again and the funny thing is that I was in a wing with a "friend" I thought. But when the bug struck me my friend saw my 750 Bounty and started to attack me instead.

aha thats the problem then. Thanks for the info

The controlling faction in the system has likely changed hands, making it no longer an anarchy. Unfortunately, the galaxy map is only updated when an update is released. At least, that's my understanding of the situation.

I'm not sure it's still an anarchy system. It's controlled by the Orrere Travel Company or something. At least, I'm pretty sure the Sharon Lee station is.

WTH is going on inside Sharon Lee at the moment? When I left earlier today, it had 2 ships camped inside shooting at the exit: just popped back, and they're still there, exploding things in the entrance!
