Social experiment - free credits.

CMDRs,

totally mad idea that will probably flop but here it goes...

I'm conducting a social experiment to see if anyone bites and would be willing to loose 5B credits for no apparent reason, except making complete stranger happy. Experiment is simple, Fleet Carrier owner (sadly a requirement) forms a wing with me. Sets up selected commodity sell order for absolute minimum along with that commodity buy order for absolute maximum. I dock and perform buy/sell loop long enough to increase my balance by 5B credits, enough to buy bare bone Fleet Carrier for myself.

Optionally we could perform the experiment long enough to cover FC and basic outfitting - details to be discussed individually. It's not a requirement, I have enough of my own credits to cover that expenses.

Obviously other side of the experiment will loose those 5B credits but that's the point. To see if credits are truly meaningless. If so then transferring 5B to a complete stranger wouldn't pose a problem.

In an unbelieveable event of multiple willing participants, I reserve the right to pick randomly (virtual dice roll) from CMDRs that make the best offer. For the sake of limit the maximum is set to 10B.
Experiment will expire Sunday, 13-09-2020, midnight UTC±00:00.

List of offers:

end date alteration.

I like how you've posed what is plain, old fashioned begging as a "social experiment."

But good luck to you (and I genuinely mean that)

Well, the end result will be the same but there is slight difference. Many people say that credits are easy to obtain and meaningless. And I'm to exploit that with either confirming it (and getting a FC in the process because why not) or to bust as a just talk but when it comes to action then suddenly there is <tumbleweed.jpg>

And thanks for the support.

It's not even a first, @Old Duck beggared his way to his Carrier first

Heh, the difference is that Old Duck is well known CMDR with established position so it was easier for him to rise funds. I, on the other hand, am one of the crowd, without connections. Double difficult but this is the part of the experiment.

why do you assume, that somebody who considers CR as meaningless has 5bio cr in spare?

talking about me, because i never considered them meaningful, only one of my three accounts (not my main btw.) has that amount (and bought an FC with that).

Don't really see the point in all of this. Credits are east to come by, the true currency is time, even easy high value carrier trade routes take a while to load/unload.

If you need fast credits, you can come work on my carrier if you want. Am quite busy with real life at the moment, have around 3000 tonnes of painite to offload, and a few hundred tonnes of LTD's. Can cut you in on the profits if you are up for hauling. Total profit is around a billion cr, so we could do a deal on that.

Also have another carrier a few 100LY outside the bubble, purchasing Painite. Cmdrs loading that one for a profit. Once you reach 5.5 billion, buy your own and hire other cmdrs.

I spent last night doing PP stuff so I can buy some Advanced PAs on Thursday.

Faced with the prospect of similar menu-twiddling to buy/sell enough to buy an FC, I'd rather raise Cr5bn by mining.
Actually, compared to that sort of menu-twiddling, I'd rather try and raise Cr5bn by selling toothpicks. 😒

So.. I give you 5 billion credits, to prove credits are useless, as an experiment... The experiment hook is where you went wrong.. You need a better story. Lets change it up a bit.

As an example : You're a part time player due to taking care of your elderly parents geriatric hamster. The parents just can't meet the hamsters ( Archibald.. that's her name, since you didn't know he was a she until it was too late ) her needs anymore. But you'd love to do research on game mechanics with the buying/selling markets and micro/macro transactions.. you'd tell us what the research was, but you don't want to spoil the big reveal of the loop hole you've found. You just lack funds for a FC that's needed to pull it off.

See.. thats more interesting, and whats more, adds in enough game jibber-jabber to make us think you're going to be productive with the credits we're going to gift you with.
