Hi all, just gained my Permit for access to Sol. Have been flying the galaxy for a while but just now achieved it... access to "home". I have a warm fuzzy feeling of pride and achievement, I can come home.
Is it just me? Or do we all feel the warm fuzzy feeling of Sol when we get the permit? The ability to fly above the earth in my Python feels... well, special. I've visited many different systems, and been a fair old distance from home. But still. I thought home was Lave (I'm an 80s kid...), but it's not, it's Sol apparently. This much is clearer to me now.
I know it's only a game, but.... (I think I'm over-thinking this...)![]()
It'd be nice if Sol had more to offer than rich tourists and the possibility of delivery missions to Hutton.![]()
It has some of the most interesting moons in known space (not just Ariel). It also has huge quantities of the highest profit margin commodity in the bubble.
Atmospheric landings will also transform the system.
NASA and the evil Government are patrolling around the edges, shooting any cat that comes near. Go do your research. That is conic, not flat. Plus everyone knows if Earth were flat, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

BGS trading Polymers, normally buy for anywhere from 30 to 300 credits, sell for up to 17,000 credits per tonne.I am interested. What commodity is that?

Flat Earthers aren't very bright so they called their conic model the Flat Earth. Sometimes I just hope that they are trolling, otherwise our future might not be as bright as shown in Elite.![]()
Agreed. M. Gorbachev is a beautiful starport (and my home) and bounty hunting in the RES at Saturn is spectacular. Saturn is huge!I still feel proud of our home whenever I go there. Best system in E-D for me.
It was on their website til they noticed people were extracting the urine. Is it true or urban myth that the Flat Earth Society website once boasted that they "have members all around the globe"?
