Some Beginner Questions

hey@all,
english is not my native language, i play in german,
so im sorry if i dont know the correct words for what i mean ;-)

#1 there is a Steam Award for "Complete the Zoopedia"
How i can do this? Read every Animal Site in the Zoopedia?

#2 in the actual Community Challenge i need to release African Animals into the Wild.
But how i do this correctly? All of my breeded Animals are only avaiable to sent it to the Market?!
Of course i can buy a Animals with the "Conservation Coins" and release again, but this is it?

Thx for the help - for now ;-)

Hi, I'm from Germany, too! :) Hope you have fun with this great game!

1) You have to research every single animal to the highest level! You can do that in the Zoo Menu on Animal Research Tab with your Veterinarians (Tierärzte) :) I'm really not sure how it behaves with the DLC animals (if you have to research them too for the achievement, since they are part of the zoopedia now).

2) You can only release an animal, if you have bred it or bought it for conservation credits. You can sell no animals you have bought for money! So I guess either you haven't bred those animals or you have chosen the parents to be released and not their offspring :) You can also only release adult animals.

1. You have to do all vet research for every animal in the game
2. You can only relese adult animals, not babys. And after the animal grows up, there is a short period when the animation changes from baby to adult. During this short time you can't relese it, but after the animation is done you can relese it :) And you can also relese adult animals that you have in your tradecentre

#1 ok, thanks. yes with the new DLC Animals would it be really harder, because i dont have any DLC -_-

#2 the problem is, that i dont have much CC and in the market there are too less CC animals i need.
i have bought 1x CC Flamingo and it breeded with $ Flamigo, but i couldnt release the adult breed....?!
ok, i will try it again today in the evening what i have missed for it...

Sidequestion: What African Animal breeds quickly and is easy to handel in its habitat for that Challenge?

If a steam achievement was already present when the game was released - 99/100 times DLC will not affect this.
(i'm saying 99/100, because I've only seen "base game achievement" with base game)

DLC achievements are a seperate thing, if DLC achievements are even added at all :D

oh, now i remember the #3 question i wanted to ask. :)
after the new patch, there must be a setting for easy-normal-hard mode?

a) where is this?
b) is this avaiable for the franchise zoo?

"easy" should be the choice to be (for me),
because the game was too much stressfull 😰

Hey there and welcome!
Exhibit animals ("Vivarien" in German) are also helpful to gain cash in the beginning. Scorpions and some of the spiders have lots of offspring very quickly and you can sell them right away. I always put down 3-5 exhibits and one habitat species (warthogs and ostriches are indeed a good choice, they can also be in a habitat together) plus some donation boxes to get my zoos running.

And don't worry, it takes some time!

Sorry for the stupid questions...

to sell animals i only store them to the "trade-market" and wait?

to release animals i can do this only with adult breeds of two CC animals?

Yes correct. You can not release purchased animals into the wild.

Hello,
the parents can also be bought with money.
The offspring can always be sold for leaves.

You have to put the animals up for sale in the Chamber of Commerce, after which they are available to others for a limited time.
Either someone buys them or they don't.
If not, you can reset it.

Easy habitat animals for cash/appeal are reptiles, and tortoises in particular.
(be sure to put enough donation boxes near the glass/windows/viewing area)

The only issue with reptiles is, that you need to keep offspring in check.. (so most times on contraceptives)
Crocs/gharials/tortoises will get very old, so a pretty good investment.

Here is a quick rundown of how the tradecentre works; (sorry if it's too simplistic, you probably already know most of this)

1. Is where you buy new animals
2. Is where you find your own animals
3. Is where the animals you have gotten from comunity challenges are stored
Tradecentre 2.jpg

Go to your animals in the tradecentre and select an animal
1. Choose this if you want to move the animal to a habitat (this is the only avalible options for young animals, the other ones only become avalible after the animal grows up)
2. Choose this if you want to trade the animal to other players for CC. You get a recommended price (in this case 40cc) but you can change that manually after pressing this button. After that, the animal will be up for sale for 1h
3. Choose this if you want to sell the animal for cash (you can't choose a price here, its always the price listed, in this case 522)
4. Choose this if you want to release the animal to the wild (you will always get some CC for doing this, in this case 37cc)

Screenshots are often super usefull to find where the problem is. Can you post a screenshot of the animals in the tradecentre that you can't release. (go to your tradecentre and select the animal in question so that it is highlighted like in the pic above and make a screenshot)

Okay here it is... Only two samples in my Tradecentre.
Actually i have much more Peacocks which i cant trade or release.

Even more... one of them is "release-able", but when i do this,
i check the confirmation popup and nothing happens. he stays...?!

Your „Pfau“ is Not a adult, so you can not release to the wild.

In german, because in this Language I can say it a little bit better:
