Some engineering mods are too generic

You would think the mods available would enhance what the module actually does. They could give this a number, range, or timer buff, to give higher class performance in a smaller space. At least when we engineer a FSD, we have the option to choose a longer jump range, or shorter boot time.

(Forgive me if my available mod info is out of date. I grabbed it off the Wiki. If they do have mods for limpet number, range, or timeout, let me know.)

I've already proposed that limpet controllers provide smarter limpets with higher grades of controller, rather than leaving us stuck with our limpets popping on picking up targeted loot, running into rocks and stealing stuff that gets a price on our head. We don't need to stick simple logical functionality behind the engineer grind, honestly. Now, OTHER things could be added to engi recipes, but I really think more intelligent limpets should be a staple of higher grade controllers.

Yes, totally. Limpets need a lot of work.

Still, duration could be modded without hurting anything- that's mostly important for mining, or picking up materials drops over long periods of time. And with limpets out in a Haz Res, I've noticed they tend to get killed by AOE before duration expires anyway.

Speed as well would be a good choice- if you drop in a lot of USS sites, speed is important and duration is immaterial. And at that, possibly a better choice for mining, as less limpets could work faster.
