Newcomer / Intro Some questions from a new player

Hello everyone, just a few issues I seem to be having that I cannot seem to find clarification on.

First, FSD interdictions... what is the range?? I have been able to pull people out of supercruise from obscene ranges (200ls or more) but NOT when I am right behind them! Is there a speed that must be reached for it to function? Also, the indicator ALWAYS says "FSD out of range" even when I use it successfully.

Second, when I interdict someone, the person who im flying with was able to follow me by jumping out at my low energy wake point. But last night, he was not, and the game told him it needed to be scanned. As I have seen stated other places, only high energy wakes require scanning to follow. Which is it?

Lastly, some suggestions for any devs that my stumble across this:

Weapons should list ranges ( if they do, I dont see them)
Allow me to fly in "formation" or something with any wing-mates (that way playing cooperatively is possible, seriously with the travel system being so... precise... it can take several tries to hit an energy wake....)
