General / Off-Topic Someone just purchased 400,000 shares in FDEV totalling £800,000 or 1.17% of all stock (!)

It was me, I went on the store and they had the super-duper special amazing life time force a change pass. It was quite expensive though :)

OMG... I knew it...

Guys, do *not* click repeatedly on the 'Pay Now' button when the paint job is slow to confirm the purchase!

Not sure when they have to update their webpage but on the 5th August the major shares were :

With 53%, David has largely the majority. It's good for the durability of the game

Christopher Sawyer of Rollercoaster Tycoon fame?

Yes, one and the same. He converted Frontier: Elite II to the PC, his conversion was then used as the basis for the sequel Frontier: First Encounters and of course Frontier also developed RCT3 with Chris Sawyer acting as a consultant so his shares are likely compensation as part of his long history with Frontier.

Very interesting. We can say that he is part of the Frontier family

Looks like our mystery seller/purchaser may well have been in action again today:

Looks like someone bought the "lifetime expansion pass" of everything FD is going to produce forever... :p

It must be good to have that kind of money...

Very nice way of putting it. Never thought of it like that before but that is exactly what any share purchase is.
Except that you can always sell shares on to someone else.
Oh, and as often as not they silently turn into a lifetime contraction pass when you are not looking...
