oh, just read it again.
""The Alpha process has worked well for us. We have gradually built out the key elements of the game, first locally, with single player combat, then with a few thousand players across the internet. On 30 May, the Premium Beta extends this to many thousands of players worldwide, with an increasingly rich game."
Doesnt make any sense, I thought beta was feature complete? How can they release beta combat on its own unless they have just rewritten the definition of 'beta'?
What is that going to achieve other than more people will be able to play it - other than trying again to get more people to upgrade to Premium Beta?
Getting a bit fed up with these tactics of constantly trying to encourage people to pay early Frontier.
Why again only negativity?Doesnt make any sense, I thought beta was feature complete? How can they release beta combat on its own unless they have just rewritten the definition of 'beta'?

As I understand it, TESO actually changed a lot during beta. But whether you notice depends a lot on when you joined the beta.A beta is often feature complete, but not necessarily. Nothing prevents you from implementing more features during a beta, plenty of games (especially among the new kickstarter/early access breed) have done it that way.
Heck, besides TESO I have a heard time thinking of any recent beta I've participated in that was feature complete.
Will backers other than Premium beta backers get access then? The single player combat build isn't part of the beta test, it's so you can have a play and become familiar with the basic controls.

I've seen several requests at releasing the single player combat build for Beta/Gamma backers. Now it looks like the Premium Beta folk will get it. I would think this is a gesture of good will and some small consolation for Alpha process being dragged much longer than initially estimated, a POSITIVE thing.
*sigh*
