trying to work out how I get these. Everything points to Cheranovsky City in Ngurii

I read the log under the engineer tab and it says I can get them in Ngurii - Cheranovsky City. Travelled there and when I open up the buy screen there is nothing, never mind soontill relics, it shows me nothing for sale in the entire station ?

So then I thought hold on, EDDM and EDSM are the go to places when you want to seach for something on the commodities market. So I bang in the reference system as Ngurii and still it shows me the kitchen sink and everything inbetween, but no sign of soontill relics

is there any other way I can get them such as finding them at unknown signal sources or do I just accept I am not going to be able to unlock that engineer that wants them ?

Yeah someone else has already posted about this, seems there's a problem getting Soontill Relics at the moment, not sure if it's system state or a bug...

It shouldn't really be possible given that Elvira is a gateway engineer to several others. Rather annoying...

It is possible to find/pirate them, but that would be looking for a needle in a very big hay stack...

Another thread past few days, should be searchable.

Yeah system state, advice was should be over in a few days and theyll be available again. Think you can run missions to help speed it up but not sure.

I'm currently in Ngurii, Cheranovsky Station. There are zero commodities on the market. The system is currently in a boom status. I've tried waiting, board hopping, and even checked out a couple nearby FC's. One had zero commodities in its market, and the other denied boarding. This is sounding like a bug. I hope it's sorted soon! I'm currently trying to open my eng's again after transferring to PC... Looks like it's a good place to take a break tonight lol.

I've used the last couple of days going from nothing to baron for the imp ranks, couple of days and ill have that cutter with the lovely discount

not there, i moved on to another system doing courier jobs (prince now)
from what ive read the Infrastructure Failure sorts itself out after a week or so, hopefully sorted by the weekend

I pointed out elsewhere that you can trade tritium for soontil relics via the player group East India Company.

I see that the person who asked then has not taken up this method. Maybe you want to:

There is a player group that sells stuff - have a look at East India Company, they should have some Soontil Relics you can trade for:

Their trading page shows that they are available at 5tritium per tonne and 3 tonne minimum order:

i am at cheranovsky city to get some soontill relics for elvira martuuk and think about to fill up my whole cargo with 224T of them...but is it worth it to travel with that all the way to khun or somewhere else to sell that stuff? inara doesnt show me selling prices. i've read it should get worth the most over 160ly distance but no idea how much.

also if somebody needs some for elvira aswell, i could bring them if on the way. i go back to ellis station in bd+05 1146 and then heading to khun.

347 are left there atm...i guess i just leave it there for others

wow, while i was posting pretty much all have been bought off...5 left now lol...ok nevermind

Rare goods restock every 10 minutes - the amount dependant upon the state of the economy (boom best etc) - so don't worry about not leaving any for the next pilot. ;)

In some states the rare goods allocation is well below what you need for the engineer - cigars are notorious for needing three trips.

As you discovered, rare goods max-out in profit about 160 - 170 ly - I think the idea is that you max at about 20Kcr profit per item (that might have changed). So yes - take engineer rare goods in excess of your requirement and sell them in a suitable destination.
