[SORTED] A noob question about multipurpose controllers

So I decided to fit a 3C mining multi-limpet controller and am totally banjaxed about what it is doing. First time I fired it I got some collectors now all it does is fire off prospector limpets ad infinitum (it seems).

How do you control what it programs? Am I missing something obvious?

BTW fire button assignments don't appear for it, it just appears in the graticule where the other collector controller shows.

EDIT: Sorted by switching into Odyssey.

OK - looks like it was just a Horizons issue.

Loaded Odyssey - fire button assignments shown. So selected and exited.

Loaded Horizons again and the fire button assignments are shown there OK now.

So ignore my plaintive cry above.

No such thing as a noob question 😜
Just be careful with the multi limpet ones they tend to fire off prospectors and leave no space for collectors, it can get really frustrating at times.
Or if you have a full compliment of collectors you cannot fire off prospectors.
Im sure there's a knack to it but this old git gave up on them 🤘

Just as an FYI, since you have a class C multi-limpet controller, it's not a great idea to use it for prospector limpets because you will get less of a boost to your fragment count than with an A class prospector.

Most miners use the C-class multi-limpet controller just for collectors, and fit a class A prospector controller to handle the prospecting.

An A-rated prospector has a 3.5 multiplier. It goes down from there, to zero if you don't use a prospector at all.

Sorry if you already knew this.

Yeah - no worries - I didn't assign a button to the prospector section of its firegroups thingie, just the collector.* Since it was my first multi-controller I was confused by it not showing up in the firegroups page hence my first post. Of course it turns out to have just been an issue as I was in Horizons. If I had known that there should have been a section in that page (which I had looked for) then maybe I would have just tried relogging to see if it turned up (seems to be the SOP for Elite issues).

So yeah, good tip for anyone else coming across any issues, thanks.

* I had fitted the multi-controller in place of a 3A collector controller in my mining Python which also sports a 5A collector and a 5A prospector controller.
