sorting the cargo transferred to the carrier

Hi all,

I have now a huge variety of goods transferred from my ship's inventory into that of my carrier. Is there a way to sort or filter this messy list?

As for the filter its pritty useless. I tend to refer to Inara for looking what Ive got.

Sorry. I'm so sorry. But whenever anyone mentions "sorting lists" in the context of Elite Dangerous this is my natural reaction.

Fdev can do a lot of things, they can do 1:1 scale Milky Way. They can do alien war strategic layer. They can do engaging Powerplay. And MANY other things.

One thing they cannot seem to be able to do is to sort their (many) lists in the game.

Inara I know, you check what you've got there. But the thing is: how do I find a certain cargo ingame to transfer back to the ship? You certainly don't want to scroll an unsorted list for an eternity till you found what you searched for.

Top right of the ingame inventory screen is a filter button.
You can make it show only one or more catagories.
For example show only items catagorised as Salvage.
I tend to use inara to know what catagory an item is.

Sadly thats the best you can do
The ancient knowlage of "list alphabeticaly" was lost during the great war of blabla

But that means FDev to document and test each function, maybe to play it. Probably even in VR!

Or just implement it and wait for bug reports. Some people dress this up as agile methodology.

Compounded by their decision to not allow UI modders to go nuts.

Mouse wheel is your friend.

Since the Dev who did VR left, I dont think any of the Devs even know Elite has a VR option
