Just logged back in after a year off and the updates are really nice! Mostly QOL and visual beauty. This is a BEAUTIFUL game, and yet it's obscured by flying debris all the time. I've used the mod "DustBuster" https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/graphics-mod-to-remove-haze.470722/page-10#post-7445051 for years to eliminate the flying dust and supercruise compression lines to get a better, cleaner and prettier view out the window. Couldn't it be another on/off option like the orbit lines? On when you need it off when you don't?
"BUT JT" I hear people who don't read the full contents before disagreeing say, "You obviously don't fly with assist off you carebare! You need the dust to see where you're going." Well, actually, I do fly with assist off just fine but I do understand one needs a vectoring visual system (I liked the way FD did it on Elite 2 myself)... hence, the request for an ON and OFF option. "But I like the dust, it gives me a feeling of speed." Great, person who again doesn't understand the idea of switching things both on AND off if you like it. Set your space dust to ON all the time.
Anyway, here's a visual of what I'm talking about. Just a landing sequence so skip around as you like and see what you think of a clean screen. It's far better for content creators or still pictures too.

If anyone reading actually takes this on, another idea would be to drop the targeting lines around things if you de-select them on the navigation panel (ie: if you turn planets off you won't see the () around a planet, etc) although the external views already drop the targeting HUD symbols.
Great work guys.
