Space truckin' here I come

I realised last night that I'm an idiot. I'd forgotten to replace my fuel scoop with a cargo rack so I've had a needless bit of kit on my T9. Admittedly, it only made a difference of 16T, but I felt a bit silly. I think it's because I tend to fit a fuel scoop as default as I tend to roam a fair bit (although that was never going to be the intention with the T9).

Happens to the best of us, friend. I've still got one fitted to my t9, but that's because I'm out by Jaques Station in the middle of nowhere.

In that case it does make sense. When you're just doing a single hop route with a 12LY jump it doesn't! :p

Oh yea. As soon as I get back to inhabited space, the fuel scoop is going straight in the trash.

Have you gotten used to the way this thing handles yet?

I'm really enjoying ED all over again since the BB missions had had a minor revamp in the paint job patch. Having it all certainly did me no favours...either in the way I played ED or enjoyed it. Shipping slaves in a big ship simply because you can is a job, not recreation. The end game ships are a means toward an end if you're still getting there, sure. But once you've got enough, it's time to give up and just play.
To each their own, I suppose. One of my favourite things to do in ED is to Space Truck. At the end of the day, put the kids to bed, hop in the old T9, turn on some music, crack open a beer, and just fly around the galaxy moving some cargo. I find it a great method to destress, as flying the T9 (for me) is a greatly serene experience. It's a large, graceful beast; the blue whale of the galaxy. Combine that with the large, open canopy, and it's a great ship to just float around in.

Yep. Like a sloth coated in treacle. :)

It's all good though. I just remember to throttle down during FSD charge as I'm never convinced I'll be able to steer it away from the star! But, I never had a problem with docking the thing, I think primarily because it moves so slowly.

Honestly, I was amazed at how easy the t9 is to dock. I guess when the thing moves at half of the top speed of an unconscious sloth, it's hard to bump into the mailslot.
