SpaceBourne is a Space Simulation / Arcade / Open World / RPG game.

SpaceBourne’s universe has over 100 Solar Systems, over 400 planets and 37 landable Space Stations.

SpaceBourne is designed so the player can have total freedom. In SpaceBourne the player can mine astroids, salvage wrecks, bounty hunt, discover black holes, come accross space anomalies, become a pirate, discover uncharted systems; as well as following the main storyline, choose to accept side missions, help the races that are at war with each other, create a pirate organization and form his own army, form his own space station and produce ships, or trade. In all of these activities the player gets to make choices, he can choose to trade slaves, of start a war against them and end slavery.

In order to accomplish all of this, one needs a good ship. Player character progresses through leveling, acquire new ships, modify the ships, create new and different weapons. ( As of Beta Ver. 5.0, the game has 144 different weapons and the number keeps going up with each update.)

Player Character has active and passive traits. Passive traits ( such as Piloting, Trade, Charisma etc. ) gets better or not according to the playstyle. Active traits on the other hand is left to the player to choose and pick up as the character levels up.

Except the main storyline SpaceBourne’s content is randomly generated. Every System is randomly generated at game initialization. This allows for the player to come across different events in every new map. This design choice was made in order to bring replayability to the game and allow the player to encounter different events on same maps.

SpaceBourne includes 4 distinct races with different ships, and different specialties. There are more than 3.000 entities for you to interact.

You can play SpaceBourne with Keyboard & Mouse, Gamepad or JoyStick, the game supports Force Feedback.

I thought this was going to be part 5 of the Jason Bourne series. :D

Is this one of those games written by a single dev? I'm sure I've heard of it before.

Haven't heard of this one either. Interesting.
"SC meets Elite meets Rebel Galaxy"? I'll probably check it out once it's released.

I’m tempted to add this game to my wish list. I still have $30 left over from my Star Citizen refund, and could be a fair substitute for that game if the price is right.

Yep, took my money back in March. This does look half decent if it isn't bug ridden and like you say the price is right. Depending on reviews I'd drop up to £25 on it. If it's more I'll wait for a sale, but yeah all in all it does look interesting !

Oh I'm sure it will be bug ridden. There are issues to be seen even in the trailer.
But it will be a game. :D

I'll definitely try it. I found out I don't really last that long in other space games and always return to Elite, but if it's going to be something more casual like Rebel Galaxy, It'll stay on my HDD.

Are you in the BETA NMS? Not sure if those are your personal screen shots or if your just posting them from somewhere. Id love to hear your take away on the experience so far if you are. Game looks interesting.

Yes, they are mine. I'm taking part in the Beta Test. It's a one-developer game, but he's very competent and attentive. The game itself is a space game, not a simulator. Although you have the vision inside the cockpit (simple 2D), in my opinion the game is made to be played in the third person. The fight is much better in this view. It looks a lot like Freelancer but extremely improved, where you can walk freely through space stations, interact with NPCs, buy weapons, get bounty hunter missions or other missions that some NPCs that you interact with will offer you. There is a main campaign to be followed, very well done, with several different types of missions, some sent you to the surface of planets to fulfill them. It is a very well structured and functional game. The developer chose to launch it in early access now, more to preserve the reactions to the launch of the game, since he found a last-minute game break, rather than being incomplete. That's why this early access should be very short. Even now, I still can not finish it because with each new update, I restart the game. The game works very well and just needs some polishing. As I said it is a space game with lots of content, fun and very well structured.

From the few images I posted you can see that some stations have a more rustic look and others are already more sophisticated polished.

Watching with interest. But with X4 around the corner, I'll probably hold off a little.

Looks o.k. though. More vids required NMS.. ;)

Initial reviews on steam are very positive. I m sure this will be a viable alternative for everybody who wants space legs and cannot wait the decades SC is going to take :)
