Spec Ops Wing (Suggestion)

I don't mind the challenge, but can we please not have them drop in literally ON my head? It's happened multiple times and they somehow manage to know right where to drop out of supercruise so I end up in either a 4v1 or 5v1. Since they're also engineered and fire a ton of corrosive rounds, it's basically an instant "bug out" scenario.

My suggestion is some form of buffer around a player(s) location to prevent NPCs from just dropping out of hyperspace onto your ships front door. Maybe they should start 10km out like players have to and fly in. At least then we'd have time to prepare or maneuver.

Don't change the special ops ever.
I dropped in with no clue.
My invincible vette against mere npc's was vaporized.
How cool is that.

Nearly had this done as well. First time was cool and terrifying. Fourth time, not so much. It just gets old when that can drop from nowhere on your head and force you to flee.

I like the spec ops challenge, I just want a range buffer so they can't drop 200m from you and obliterate you in 10 seconds.

I recently did a lot of CZs in our war in Carcosa, but I can't confirm this behaviour.

Yes, spec ops wings tend to jump in the battle, and yes they quickly tend to focus on you because you usually are the highest thread in the CZ,
but I have never seen them drop and instantly vaporize anyone. Also, due to them having phasing lasers they tend to kill or drive off ships neglecting hull
quite easily. Put on better armor, and drop them one by one.

I can't really confirm this behaviour either. Sometimes they focus on me, but usually I have to hunt them down once I'm done with my current target. Even when they do focus on me, I just boost towards the biggest concentration of green dots and they quickly divert their attention.

This ^^, yes.
Boost away, they'll break off most of the time and then you can pick them one by one.

When all 4 focused my Armed trader Cutter (6c bi-weaves, no SCB) or my Krait Mk2 - it was nasty, had to boost away etc.
in my Corvette with 7c bi-weaves and 2x 7b SCB i can take them while still being focused, but have to dual bank 1-2 times.
