Species Field Guide - Mosasaurus

To sum things up with my opinion based on what I've seen and read.

Can a Mosa attack guests, dinosaurs, or flying reptiles?

No, not at launch. Not with how the Aquatics 'lagoons' are currently constructed and function. You will be able to have the Mosa hunt and eat other Marine Reptiles only.

Mixed Eras

Yes, if you are on PC, Xbox Series X/S, or PS5. Xbox One, One X, and PS4 will be restricted to choosing an era, either JP or JW.

Marine Reptiles available in Sandbox for the JP era and Tour visualization?

Only if your system supports mixed eras. Marine reptiles will be restricted to the JW era otherwise. Tours vehicles will not be able to see into the lagoon.

Free camera for lagoon viewing?

Yes, it's called Capture Mode as it was in JWE.

Can we alter JW attractions to JP style?

Only if your system supports mixed eras, otherwise no.

Hope that clears things up.

Have you noticed how "particular" is Frontier when it comes to question?
Yes, either 'nothing to say', 'nothing to say at this time', or 'we will have more to share at a future time'. Rarely do we get a straight up answer, and a lot of answers leave more questions then answers.

And if I remember correctly you immediately screenshotted my reply and posted it to Reddit 😅
I did, to share, obviously. But you had preceded me and graced the other redditors with the answer. Apparently at the same time I asked here two other people asked the same thing there!

Then again, it was a VERY popular question

I kind of doubt this one... they could just make the JW lagoon available in all eras.
I'll say it's possible but feel like it's JW era only for the One & PS4 on one simple fact.

Cannon.

Frontier is on record stating that they stck to the film cannon as much as possible. Marine Reptiles were never involved in the JP era films, nore the novels for that matter. They did not join cannon until the JW films.

Now IF they do add them to the JP era, I hope they have new 3D models and skins for the aquatics hatchery, viewing stands, and tank walls (fence atop the wall should match JP era heavy electrical fence) to match the JP building style. Otherwise it would not look right.

the size of the mosa in the movies seems to fluctuate
You know, I actually just found out recently that in all its appearances, the sole individual mosa's size is not very consistently precise. It's still larger than the current recorded fossil record, and it was on purpose, but the sizes do vary. I recently learned that it actually is larger in Fallen Kingdom than I initially believed, and it was with a given reason. Not an in-universe reason, but rather a behind the scenes reason, in an attempt to make good use of the frame composition.
