Welcome back, Park Managers, to another Species Field Guide!

In this series, we've been spotlighting and discussing some of the incredible dinosaurs and reptiles you're able to bioengineer and care for in Jurassic World Evolution 2, including both familiar faces and new ones, and we're incredibly excited to be able to continue sharing and highlighting them!

Last time, we shared a little more information about Parasaurolophus and the exciting new Parasaurolophus Lux skin that's included in the upcoming Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack, and we've got an entirely new dinosaur from the same pack to share with you, today...Scorpios rex!

Scorpios rex, a medium-sized carnivore, is a hybrid theropod created by Dr. Henry Wu as part of his 'E750 Clinical Trials', and named after the Scorpion Fish DNA in its genetic code.

Although it has a relatively short jaw, it's a powerful one, and Scorpios rex also possesses conical, sharp teeth of varying sizes, which make it a pretty formidable dinosaur. With a blunt snout and small, red eyes located high on its face, Scorpios rex is definitely an intimidating reptile!

A carnivore, the Scorpios rex is unpredictable and aggressive in nature, so you'll definitely want to keep this in mind when you're considering adding them to your dinosaur park. This means they won't cohabit well with other species, and will require access to plenty of meat in order to keep them happy.

We can't wait to see you placing Scorpios rex in your dinosaur parks, and we'll sure it'll be a welcome addition. Will you be bioengineering some for yours? Let us know, below.

Any unique animations for sauropods, small carnivores & herbivores, & armed herbivore. Will it have a poison effect like the troodon bite in JWE 1. Ps is that still a thing?

Definitely curious if it can climb fences... kinda doubt it has venom though; that always seemed more like a byproduct of its DNA than a serious part of its fighting strategy.

Or rather; stop being coy and remind him the Scorpios had great climbing skills
Um... the climbing isn't what we're debating, it's how heavily the Scorpios relied on its venom we're talking about...

And yes, stop being a vague, smug little cretin and just say what you apparently know...

I believe that the Scorpios will indirectly use it's venom. Basically, I think occasionally it'll use it's tail like a club, but 8/10 it'll "accidentally" inject its quills into a dinosaur when fighting.

Maybe it can have the effect where, when it turns around to run away, it's tail will hit the opponent.

Real excited for this hybrid, it'll be a challenge to contain
