I want an Imperial Adder, so I can taxi people around with class

Yes I have a Dolphin, but the Adder is the closest thing to a "shuttle" in the game, and I want a posh version of this, not the beatup junkyard version. I'll even settle for an Alliance Adder!

Krait MK II was "Krait Tornado" for a day in the item store. Another Krait listed there was "Krait Phantom". Based on these names and what they relate to, i would expect a "Krait Typhoon" in the next time.

I mean, they went with "Chieftain, Challenger, Crusader", which were three brittisch tanks. Now "Phantom, Tornado, Typhoon" would be just as logical for planes. And if they also make a series here, then i'd expect the Typhoon to be a tad lighter than the Phantom and with a higher number of smaller hardpoints.

Ooh, I'd kill for an Imperial Cobra. Everything just looks and feels better when you add some Imperial...

Speaking as somebody who really got into ED because of the ability to customise ships, I really wouldn't care if there weren't any new ships for a good while.

Instead, I'd rather there were reasons to use them.

I'd like a reason to turn up for a war with my Vulture and not my Corvette, a reason to build a Keelback for mining, a reason to build a T6 for trading etc.
Course (and I don't mean this maliciously), that kind of stuff is likely to take some development so I guess we aren't likely to see it until after "Project 2020".

One that is built from the ground up to be an explorer in a similar way to the Type-9 being built as a cargo hauler from the ground up. Long jump range, runs colds, has all the right sized modules, and handles well in Supercruise.

I've been wanting non-combat dedicated ships since day 1, pure pure trader class, as in, you can't just magically change its interior from cargo hold to luxury liner. Pure pure exploration. Pure pure passenger liner.

You're probably going to get people saying "Yeah, but it shouldn't do ALL that stuff cuz balance" but there's no reason why a ship can't be exceptional at all that stuff and still be balanced 'cos it'd suck at other things.

Give it mediocre thrusters, a puny PDist and PP, minimal hardpoints and utility slots and, perhaps, one big internal slot (for a fuel-scoop) and then a couple of C3/C4 slots, a bunch of C2 slots and a couple of C1 slots and you've got a ship which is going to be lousy at combat, mining or trading but which explorers would sell their grandmother to buy.

If I was asking for the perfect trading ship or the perfect combat ship they would be 100% right about balance being an issue.


But it's an exploration ship. That is hardly a PvP activity lol
