General Squadron Outposts instead of Fleet Carriers

Instead of fleet carriers (which are basically CR sinks and no-one's buying them now since mining has been nerfed into the ground) we should be able to buy small outpost stations and permanently leave them in a system of our choosing. We can't jump them but we can customise them (to an extent), hide their beacon/transmitter so only your squadron can see it and be able to use it (or disable landing the same way as FCs can). Limit the number to maybe 15 or 20 per system to stop the map getting destroyed like they currently are with 50 or so FCs in a system.

This way your squadron can have a "home" system and you can set it to respawn there on foot when you die instead of at the pilots federation system you started in, and just jump back in your other ships that are docked there.

Good luck selling that to explorers :ROFLMAO:
FCs are more of a hinderance to explorers anyway, you can jump further in less time in your normal exploration ship and then you've got to stop and spend hours looking for and mining tritium in order to continue jumping

Except.....there are places you can never get to in normal ships, stars that would be forever out of range, I take my FC with me when I explore, never mined Tritium once, let alone stopped to mine it, what a strange idea lol, that's mining not exploration!

There are also places you can not visit with your FC... Or with your ship. A FC is nothing but a chore out in the black. I am happy you enjoy it. I tried but I am now on a friends FC which takes away the refuelling drama.

So you have a magic fleet carrier that never needs refuelling? Either that or you've never been very far in it

On one tank of tritium? That's impressive

You're being a bit of an....well I can't use the words I want to here, but I'm not here to answer 20 questions from someone who obviously has no idea what he is talking about, suggest you take your attitude somewhere else and get it adjusted!

I would like some new mechanic for squadron but don't hold you breath, Fdev have a lot of fixes and improvement to do before anything else. And btw 5billions is a lot but maintening and fuelling a carrier ? Not so much for advanced played, that's like change money

This is a good idea, I would like that for our group. But there is one thing missing: An inventory, where we can put in some tons of commodities. I think 2000 tons would be ok and that would not harm anything. A place to store some of the Thargoid hearts, probes and other things we collect and now have to sell because we cant store them.
