Squadrons and supporting Minor Factions

A randomly chosen faction I've seen a few times. Present in 50 systems. Controlling 48 systems. Inara says over 200 players in squadrons and 100 out of squadrons support them. That's the ones that have made an Inara account. Many more will not have.

48/50 for control is pretty high percentage.

15 of the systems they control, they have less than 50% influence in. And they have a fair number of players. With the proposedmechanic change you put forward, that's 15 systems they can expand from with the new system. In addition to the 7 systems they can currently expand from by virtue of 75% influence, though iirc, that only chooses one. But that's still a situation whereby they can go from 1 expansion at a time to 16.

And wehere did I evern talk about like 15 expansions at a time? WHERE? they can as easilly today push their influence to 75% in all systems they already control... so what is the real difference?

When you said there would be a bar in each system. I'm not sure how you think hostility and aggression against others is going to help things here.

You have an idea. You want feedback on that idea, hence posting on a forum. Each individual will have their own preferences, and opinions. I strongly encourage the sharing of ideas. But people also need to realise that the likelihood that any idea is completely perfect, is slim, and that in order for an idea to become reality, it usually needs to go through a process of evolving, refinement etc.

Some of the concepts in your idea are interesting. And could be beneficial. But, it still has a number of issues that I personally believe don't solve the main problem. And I've been trying to help iron those out.

Does the main problem need addressing? Certainly, and the sooner the better. Do I believe this idea would work? In it's current form no. But with a few tweaks, perhaps.

When you are obviously obfuscating what you read, then of course I will call you out on it. So did I say there would be multiple expansions at the same time for a faction? Either I am lying or you are lying about that fact.

Disregarding whether anyone suggested that multiple expansions at once should be a thing (I agree with @Misty_Dark here in that I didn't see that being suggested anywhere), the problem with the proposal that's being pointed out is that it'd be easier to bring a faction in a system into the expansion state.

Which would again benefit large groups as they can constantly have a whole bunch of systems ready to expand.
