I wish we could have official names for our scarabs. Name plates and everything. I finally have one in my Adder complete with a new paint job and a catchy name would be great next to the decals. Its a vibrant orange that matches up nicely with the military stripe orange on the ship. Proteles is the genus of Aardwolf and it mainly eats termites so I was thinking of some sort of termite name with the scarab being in the belly of the main ship. I think I'll just call it Hodo from the genus Hodotermopsis termite. Weird huh? MSS Proteles has officially been reconfigured as a dedicated surface prospector ship. I realize I can do this with any ship that has an SRV but I like the idea of dedicated use ships. So, the passenger cabins were removed and in their place a hanger and a cargo rack was installed. I don't know what the cargo rack will be used for since we don't need one to gather surface materials but who knows, maybe she can also be used for salvage missions. We'll see how that plays out. Oh yeah, and she's starting to get some nice wear on her paint job from being my daily driver.
I put the passenger cabins in the Cobra, MSS Fang, so she'll take the helm so to speak in running passenger missions for now. I have my eye on a Dolphin that'll be the passenger ship sometime in the future but dang that's a pricey ship on my budget and further down the list of ships I want.
