SRV Too Slow

This continues to be an issue. When accelerating with my SRV, reverse speed is normal (can go fast), but forward speed acts like it has a throttle limiter. I am a long time player, using the same XBox controller as always. I am familiar with Drive Assist, pip management, Steam controller settings, and controller calibration. The controller works fine in all ways, and I am certain this is game software related. It happens on all planet surfaces and gravitational conditions, and has cropped up again in the last week or so. Anybody else? I created a ticket: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/59289

Do you have the SRV "Drive Assist" turned off?

Which control (button...etc) are you using for forward throttle? I'm wondering if maybe your throttle control on your controller is possibly out of calibration or broken.

Sorry, yes, already familiar with Drive Assist. What is really weird is this comes and goes, with me making no changes in any control configurations.

Cargo Scoop Deployed?
It's a speed limiter (I tend to leave it deployed for that reason lol - SRV's suspension system is total garbage tbh)

Also I'm using HOTAS for mine - and if anything the throttle is VERY touchy/overkill for me.

I seem to recall having the same problem on controller as well - kind of funny.

I'd say that implies an issue with your controller. With DA off, I've never noticed throttle issues with the SRV (I've used a variety of HOTAS).

You happen to have a suggested layout for a Throttle/Stick layout for an SRV? Mine seems <insert rear end here> backwards - My throttle is X/Y axis as well.

Currently I'm using an X-56 stick with a TurtleBeach Velocity One Flightstick. Throttle is the throttle (though I have a toggle button to change direction, so it will only go forwards unless I've toggled it), and I use the main stick for steering and flyving (X-Y is roll and steer wheels - some people like to have those separate). If it seems backwards, there is a toggle on all the axis controls (in E: D options) so that you can reverse them. I only got the Turtlebeach stick recently, and it did take me an hour or so just to get the basic controls working as I wanted them (I had to reverse some axes). Haven't finished yet, still haven't found a suitable toggle for FA off.

There are so many controls in EDO it can take ages to get all of them set, and even longer to learn them properly!

Hey, fixed it! You got me thinking that I might have accidentally changed the controller sensitivity (analog switch on the back). That fixed it! Thanks!
Not sure what kind of controller you are using, but if it is an Xbox 360 (or any in the Xbox series) type controller, you might want to try the Gullikit King Kong 2 Pro. I used an Xbox 360 controller (wired) from 2015 until January of this year). I then upgraded to this new controller and it has been fantastic. Zero stick drift, very sensitive trigger buttons. I never had too many problems driving with the 360 controller, but my throttle control/elimination of spinning out has improved by about 50%.

If you're interested, just look it up on youtube. Linus (of LLTech) and others have been raving about it for the last year or so. Only two extras you might need are a Bluetooth receiver (I use the Gullikit version, sold on Amazon) and the button cap replacements (defaults are set to switch configuration).

Is it? I know having the scoop deployed is a major limiter on ships, but I don't recall it ever slowing my SRVs down one bit. I'll have to test that next time I log in.
