Release SRVTracker - Planetary GPS and Race Management (with VR support)

I have trouble generating circumnavigation route for my SRV, it doesn't work at all from my side.
I think one of the options works depending upon the radius of the planet and the distance of the waypoints. However, that part is very much a work in progress.

The audio should be working, though. I'll test it at some point but I doubt I'll have another update for a while.

Thanks for you answer commander.
That's what I thought but I didn't try on a smaller body.

I understand don't worry, it must be a crazy amount of work, waypoints are cool enough :)

Fly dangerously.
O7 commander !

Hello! I would like to use this tool for racing event... I tried it today with friend, but we were unable to add participants to the race (track/route was set, waypoints were fine etc). Any help how to add people to race? Option that anyone at the start (first waypoint, right?) is automatically added did not worked for us and we were unable to add eachother manually. Of course we ticked upload ON. We had Client ID so we were apparently connected to your server fine i suppose...

I can see a couple of races were started on the server with two participants. Only participants that are currently uploading/tracking can be added to a race. The automatically add at start should work but it depends upon the start waypoint being triggered. If it is a basic waypoint (with radius), then just being within it is fine - but if it is a gate waypoint then to trigger it the commander would need to cross it.

All waypoints were "standard" (radius). But participants were not added. When trying to add them manually i could put anything in the field and when pressing "+" again it would add participant, even imagynary. We both were using track and upload... Did not managed to get it working (race, tracking/navigating to waypoints was fine)

But participants were not added.
Well, they were as I can see the race on the server with the participants. :) That couldn't have happened unless they were added as contestants.

Process for race:
1. Load route.
2. Set race options.
3. Add racers (manually or other means).
4. Start (play). This starts the race on the server, and all monitoring occurs there. You can enable telemetry in the Race Manager client, but all it really does is download the updates from the server.

Version 1.4.1 now released.

I've rewritten the VR panel (a couple of times as it happens), and it is now more stable and easier to move. There might still be some issues with it, would be interested in feedback on that.

I've added speech to the GPS/router, so now it can give bearing reminders and directions based on the waypoints.

Lots of new telemetry added, both personal and for races.

If you have any questions, feel free to drop into my DIscord server (in signature) or raise an issue on Github.

Thanks again, everything is working flawlessly now. I find this program quite useful when doing exobiology. Being able to mark a spot and come back to it later is a lifesaver when your sample cannister is in use and you run across a new biological. Just save the spot and come back to scan later! :)

Sorry, missed this earlier. It works in Odyssey, already tested (the SRV). :) I haven't added any of the foot stuff (new flags, etc.) yet, but tracking should already work on foot.

Which overlay did you want on the iPad? I could potentially generate a webpage or similar within the tracker that you could connect to from your local network. That could then work from any device.
Not sure to what extent it works with Elite Feet, but it does work...I just did a simple course and the waypoint-point with radius to 5 meters, but the planet I was on was too cold so my suits battery was depleting (duh). Will try with gates and polygons next time.
