Metaverse also haven't sold a copy of the game yet = cost of 10 billions only for 2021 ! When you compare it to 400 millions in 10 years for 2 games...
Metaverse might also be an expensive flop. Just because something costs a lot to develop doesn't mean its going to release or be good.
Or how you bring up a freemium pay to win game that probably cost kopeks to develop, not exactly a shining example of development. As a business it does work, just like making grand promises and then not delivering on those promises.
But what you are doing here is classical whataboutism.
Yes, we know other companies are very successful with releasing games and some games have big budgets (although outside things like Metaverse or Star Atlas, Star Citizen is the most expensive to date, and still not delivered).
What we are doing is comparing how much CIG have taken from backers vs what they have delivered for that money vs what they promised.
Will metaverse result in a product that is worth 10 billion per year? We will have to wait and see. Maybe it will be good, maybe it will be bad, but hey, its on their dime, so their business.
