Sometimes they are influencers who are collecting money during streams just for the explicit purpose of sending them to CI. I can't wait to watch Alex Battaglia's Digital Foundry vid explaining just why Star Citizen's ground-breaking alien capital ships have never been done before! Premiering in about 6 years.

I don't know with these people whether they just enjoy flexing or whether they just have so much money they don't care about how much they spend.
Most of that money isn't their own.
A little different for streamers who used to buy ships to give a way on stream. Doesnt really hold anymore since CIG give them ships to give away now (and have for a few years).
