Someday I've gotta make a vid purely of these...

I backed in 2012, got an Idris I still can’t fly and a baby merchantman I still can’t fly, supported cig for 8 years until I just became drained I know their studio went from a couple dozen to 5-600 but it’s still tough, found the best thing is to play other games and then come back every few months and see what’s going on

... so that [instancing] tech we will be able to use that with, uh, throughout the Universe, you know, for a lot more more things, for for instancing interiors which is super key for a lot of the gameplay we're trying to do...

Instancing seems to be planned for use, not just in hangars, but more generally in many of the interiors of the game overall, all kinds of buildings, structures or even some ships (if, eventually...) I suspect.

So much for that seamless experience with "thousands" of other players, EVE style, that Chris and Erin Roberts have often touted, I guess.

Hard times. Due to inflation, players' pledge UEC balances had to be revalued.
First they removed all punctuation multiplying store credit x100.
Then they added a decimal to all numbers multiplying UEC and REC x0.01.

This was the Q&A with Benoit but it didn't touch on the Quantum simulation? Did Jared forget? :)

They sound ready to ship...

  • Argo ATLS (Only Evocati Members will be able to spawn these in today's PTU but they are not under NDA so find your local Evo!)
The ATLS Suit spawns like a ship in hangars from the elevator and there are a few known issues to know about for the ATLS
  • Players cannot exit the ARGO ATLS using the PIT Menu ( [Y] to exit should still work)
  • Player ragdolls out of the ARGO ATLS when incapacitated and snaps back in to the ATLS while still downed
  • Players in the ARGO ATLS suit don't react to getting shot
  • Unable to log out in a vehicle containing the ATLS (Remove the ATLS from the ship to logout)
  • ARGO ATLS is sometimes unable to lift 16 or 32 SCU crates, causing them to scrape on the ground (Workaround is to hold RMB to shoot it up in the air, and catch it again with LMB)
  • When launching crates with RMB, first LMB input will not function (Players just need to double click to activate the tractor beam again)
  • Tractor Beam placement can fail to ignore blocking geometry, causing unnatural collision on placement

(In the sense that they'll kill many a pilot ;))

Just amazing that CIG haven't sold them yet...

Especially given stuff like this 😁

Alright, I have a deal for you, CIG: You allow me to pledge for the ATLS Suit now. I give you $$$ now and you give me access to the ATLS in PTU.

EDIT: Some scepticism in the aisles tho ;)

Nerf tractor beams then release Argo ATLS, change respawn to T3 beds release Ursa Rover..

Im starting to see a pattern here and it's frightening honestly. Worst part is that you dont even bother to hide it anymore, desperate for money

Also lol, it's just more beam gameplay 😁

(How long before someone beams a Copion aloft and intones seriously: "Get away from her you..." ;))

These people, I swear. There are people in the thread bothered that people got upset because their store credit disappeared. I mean, you know, the REAL MONEY put into the game to buy things and it was lost for a while. Is there anything that will make them even remotely critical? Honestly, losing all of your money stored in credit should have had everyone up in arms, because if it happened once it can happen again, even permanently since money systems should never be affected by website shenanigans.

It´s over a decade of normalizing extremely crappy and broken quality. There is nothing that will make many players remotely critical. Especially those in the grey market or those that may be money laundering. The "community" is incapable of defending itself. SC is riddled with seller abuse situations for which regulators, consumer protection institutions, legal action or the press actually should be for.

so they discovered Instancing in a game that was supposed to be one big shard?

are they aware that instancing existed and worked (without bugs) in games 20+ years ago?

Still a few snags to iron out
Why does a cargo box wiggling around in front remove whole wall panels and textures on the far hangar wall? How? What is going on in that game engine...
That must be part of the magic layer-culling instancing,

Edit: or is that just normal culling of obscured objects but something's lagging?
