Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

It's like they failed to realize that it's a videogame, completely computer generated, so there's no need to "prove" that an alien isn't a person in a rubber suit.

It's such a Chris moment 😁

You can kinda see how he got there. But it's probably just 'GREAT INSPIRATION 7' that he had that day. (And I notice that the Vanduul totally don't have holes in them any more...)

I love how the character art guy just slows down as he realises how ludicrous it sounds out loud ;)

It's sad really looking back, also risky I would have thought.
All those promises, all that hype from people attached to the project, it seems any lie would do back then and nothing has changed really.
A Ponzi scheme in the form of a wannabe game. But all those involved should think hard about what they promise, push, promote and say, because things can come back to haunt you later.

This post will be translated into some obscure alien language later.

No, I thought the question was whether players could fly them. :)

Ah nope, just re NPCs.

But yeah there's a bunch of 'flyable' alien ships. (All with that delicious 'alien tax' on top, for their iridescent beatle-y looks, and lavish extra greeble.)

I rarely see anyone flying them as a daily driver though, except post-sale and pre-nerf etc. A lot of them seem to be martyrs to jank. (HUD failures, rotating bits not rotating etc. Plus they tend to insect punch below their weight...)

The $400+ dropship one did ride a meta wave for a while. Think that's over though. (I'm sure it'll all change when it gets its magnetic ship clamping ability ;))
