Fun reply:
"So if i only paid $1300, i should be fodder for a Legatus Navium player? Because his "wallet progression" was better?"

Serious question though (as I've never got far enough in a freeplay to actually ram anybody)...
Does ramming ignore the enemy's shields? Does the ship just go straight through?

Any time I see people playing up how awesome Star Citizen is, all I can think of is Amway.

All of these screenshots? I've seen them dozens of times over, I've made them myself at times, and that's all the game is, a screenshot simulator. It's designed to look pretty to rope in the rubes and get them to believe there's a real game underneath the hood. You can do more in Starfield, No Man's Sky, and Elite Dangerous than you can in Star Citizen, and it didn't require massive ship sales and people conning others into believing they're really having fun playing a super good game you should join, Citizen.

I think that's the part that rubs me the wrong way. In some ways it's a cult, like when I was in church as a kid and my Sunday School teacher insisted that Noah's Ark was real and they had found the remains. No matter what evidence showed it wasn't possible, for her the pictures didn't lie.

As far as I can tell it just penetrates shields and does full damage.

They did a pass in a recent patch to finally stop light fighters from one-shotting cap ships (because Idris sale incoming ;)).

But yeah, the new meta is solo cap ships ram-killing crewed cap ships. And annoying the hell out of them ;)

To fill my recent penchant for Nordic film and TV dramas, I decided to watch a Finnish one...which is rather good but completely unintelligible, even to someone who has a decent ear for languages.

Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic...even Swedish I'm generally fine with. Once I grasp the basic everyday words and phrases like 'Yes, no, please, thank you, hello and goodbye' etc...after half a movie or midway through the first season I usually only need the subtitles for the big words or complicated conversations.

Finnish? Just nah, it doesn't seem to have any commonality with other Nordic or even Germanic/European languages in the slightest. I'm on the 3rd season of Deadwind, a TV crime drama set in Helsinki, really enjoying it, but I'm still struggling past 'yes' and 'no' in the right order without reading the subtitles

Worm size controversy. I did think it was smaller than the citcon one - but Zac (the guy who did the CitCon presentation, and works on the worm) says otherwise. I'm sure CiG wouldn't gaslight people

Everyone really hating those Wikilo missions on live then.

Hard to find posts which aren't sweary. Easy to find top-voted complaints though ;)

[...] never had i eaten so much crap while exchanging scrip for favor.
Im sorry but whoever thought of this system needs to get a different job. In no way has someone playtested this and said "jeah i think thats fine" and moved to something different.
The fact only one at a time can finish this mission on a damn 600 player realm is the cherry on the top. (at least it seems like the mission is only spawning for one player at a time)
I have gotten a lot of stamina to bugs but not to stupid game design. Wth - if this is the stupid game design we going this game is for sure dead on arrival. I mean we dont need to test simple game design again. This crap got worked out in the 80s.... come on.
Sorry for my rant but wth

Over 2000 MG scrip, 250 council scrip, 4 ace helmets, and the elevator just ate all of them. An entire weeks worth of grinding all gone. Im so disappointed.

Half the time Wikelo eats my scrips and give no favor in return. I gave up.

Etc etc.

But never fear, there are workarounds ;)

Here's what I did.
Get a crate put all your scrip in it. I had about 500.
Split them into stacks of 50.
Get the Wikelo's contract, go to the station it specifies.
Land and send the crate down the freight elevator.
Pull 50 out of the crate and move it to the cargo elevator from storage. Wait 30-60 seconds while it actually transfers.
Bring those 50 up the elevator and then send them right back down and you get a completion.
Now here's the problem. You need to get the same location again to be able to turn in here. So wait for the contract to be available and get it. If it's not the same location, abandon it, wait a couple minutes, and then try again until you get this location. Took me about 4 hours with all the futzing around with inventory, re-contracting, etc.
I will not being doing this one again.
