Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

I remember when Reddit was "so hype for SC" and discussions around other space games that were't officially "A Chris Robert's game" were moderated.
That's the official SC subreddit maybe (were indeed white knights would downvote any naysayer into oblivion), but that thread I linked is on the general "gaming" forum/subreddit where that project was always seen as a scam, and of course you can talk about other space games as much as you want.

Still not there yet.

I'm wondering though: had there any hour that have been at $0 in 11 years? I'm quite surpised I never got to see a blank funding hour...

The funding chart is one thing, but I just want the see the Products Released > 0

It’s not looking very promising.

Let´s not confuse released with completed/finalized. The distinction is important. CIG released SC in early access several years ago, and any half decent accountant that look into CIG books could probably very easily double check it.

SC is a released product, it just sucks a lot.

And since it is released there are zero guarantees it will improve. This is not full crowdfund anymore, CIG can use our money for whatever they like, video game related or not.

On the other hand CIG is far from having completed/finalized what they have already sold and released though. So much so that fraud is entirely a possibility.

A fully working game! That is unusual in this thread. I remember in my teens designing board games to fill the time. Scarily that was more than 4 decades ago and Pacman had just been invented. Thanks for sharing.

After reading these rules, I might try and build a Star Wars deck to play it with.

Sadly, it has 3 expansions that go with it too, and 2 of the ships I've sailed with are in two seperate expansions :D

Aye, I remember that happening on the general gaming reddits too. Correctly moderated as people were posting links here on these forums (and even on the Elite kickstarter comments) to go upvote such posts about Elite and downvote negativity. Brigading and vote-manipulation is against Reddit's rules, and the fools breaking those rules only helped damage Elite's reputation there, let alone stifle future game news posts.

I’ve been looking at Spruance Leader for a while but all the rules revisions/questions I’ve seen at BoardGameGeek have put me off until a revised edition is released. There’s a 2.0 rule book in the files over there which you might be interested in.

None of my old ships made the game but a previous DVG release, Modern Naval Battles, had a picture of HMS Edinburgh where a pixel or two might’ve been me working on the 4.5” Gun 😂
