Good news everybody!

In essence SC is rich in digital goods which at this stage have no value other than an original price set by SC. This doesn’t allow for market signals (Eg some event or attribution) to create perceived value that someone is willing to pay.

NFTs enable, for example; a ship in Star Citizen (or any item) to have a digital token placed on it that can identify the item as unique. The uniqueness could be attributed to any dimension: eg this is the actual Connie that was used in a CIG demo, this it the first Mole that was sold. This as the actual armour that some famous twitcher wore etc. I guess serial numbers is a way to do this too but NFTs are tradeable in external markets and not just in game (ie sell the digital good on eBay alongside the NFT) CIG could even facilitate this by providing an NFT with an item and then taking a cut every time it changes hands (in fact CIG needs to be part of this as they need to keep that digital good active to kee its value I guess ... needs more thought)

Nett is, one could then have an appreciating fleet or set of goods that gain value over time. Imagine selling a Connie for $2m!

"Imagine selling a Connie for $2m!"

Yes, let's imagine a future where that can happen!

No, let's not. That would be a real "stop the world, i want to get off" moment.

In other news, for the last few weeks, i've noticed when doing searches for star citizen on google i get an ad which takes you here:

Clearly presenting SC as a playable game despite it being in alpha.

I recommend that when you see such an ad, click on it. Direct some ad revenue to poor Google from CIG.

Remember, 100% of money given by backers goes to development, not marketing. So this can't be backers money!

Producers: 1 million suckers

I know what you mean but Producers expect a Return On Investment.....unless its a Tax Scam or a money laundering operation.

"Imagine selling a Connie for $2m!"

By the time its released $2m may be the price of a pack of chewing gum. :) And then theres this:

Edit: Is this why a certain person returned to Twitter this week?
