Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

A short example....in case you thought that flying through the slot in ED was bad first few times you tried it :)

Well I have to say slot was bad only for Anaconda :) Though reason was that I expected something like Elite 1 Amiga version with digital joystick. That was bad... :) But lets not talk about landing to surface installations in high G worlds :D
Nice video btw.

Nah, it'll just drag the loonies out from their basements to type their usual nonsense is all :)

Yep
Witcher 3 is also significantly smaller than this game lmao.
Why dont you guys just compare it to Flappy Bird at this point.
Facepalm indeed.
(TW3 is much bigger in about just every metric possible, yes SC makes you think space is big but it's just a collection of small FPS maps, and by small i mean 2008-era small. Also TW3 is a complete, playable game).

There's guys in that thread literally comparing sc_refunds to Al Qaeda and saying they "understand it more". That's a whole new level of crazy.
You haven't seen anything yet...those types are just the entrée. The real hardcore eejits are why I keep getting banished from Spectrum. You used to have to pay a shilling to go poke the loonies with a stick at Bedlam Asylum...now we can all do it for free on Spectrum or the SC subreddit :D

If you see some guy with a Mandalorian replica helmet by the ship terminals looking bored, that's me :D
Oh cool, where did you get that helmet?

Seems to be that I'm in trouble though. Apparently I have aqquired crimestat at some point and they don't allow me to dock on Everus Harbor. I need interstellar factors! Or what ever is the equivalent in this universe.

Ok, I need to go to Grim Hex and buy my self a hacking chip. And then infiltrate security terminal somewhere and clear my name by hacking in to it. I will not buy my self a new ship today it seem.

You need to go to the Security Outpost Kareah, which is orbiting Celin, a Crusader moon, hack into the security terminal on the 1'st level, room in the centre, equipe the hacking tool in your mobiglass, when you get to the security terminal press 4, on the left hand side of the terminal screen at the bottom there is a slot, hold F it should say insert, log in.
keep an eye on it it will stop some times and you have to restart it, once in select a reason for charges dismissal.

Sometimes security NPCs spawn, and sometimes real player bounty hunters might be after you.

You will get shot at by the station on approach, the guns are powerful, what i normally do is fly near and eject, you will lose your ship but at least you will survive to clear your crime stat.
I don't know if the Aurora has an ejections system, you will have to figure it out.

Good luck :)

If it's just a CS level 1 you might just have to pay a fine at any of the fine paying terminals at Grim Hex....they're the ones with the spinning hologram on top.

The Mandalorian helmet is a subscriber perk...subbies get lots of cool cosmetic stuff. Most of the coolest stuff isn't free though...Ci¬G marketing snakes and all that. Prices aren't extortionate or anything, 4 or 5 bucks for a nice set of armour etc. It's cosmetics though, so I have no disagreement with it any more than I have with ship paints or kits in ED... Lots of it is included with your subscription though, as well as a ship of the month which you can use for that month. Think it's a 600i and a 600 touring this month, can't remember. I drop in and out with the subbie thing...if there's something cool cosmetic wise I want, I'll drop $10 for a months subscription :)

You're watching a completely different video to the one i'm talking about.

Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckM3nU77ZCY&t=51s

Ok I’ve watched the non-machinima one now too.

Yep, I wouldn’t call that one faked, sure. (It does help that he talks about how fundamentally buggy the game is, and how rare this kind of event is though ;). Stuff like the loading bay full of wheels, the spawn-camp huddle in the medbay, and the boarder who couldn’t seem to see his assailant at all, definitely underwrote some of that too ;))

The machinima stuff is still faked and misleading though ;)

For those of us who play, we know it's all faked...or some of us do anyway ;)

I liked that man from nowhere vid none the less... as a bit of pointless Star Citizen-esque escapism...2 Essex girls running a Reclaimer, class :D

I'm not about to get all hot under the collar about a Machinima video, the creator isn't trying to sell anything...far less forcibly indoctrinate anyone through buying into Star Citizen, neither are Ci¬G using it as a 3rd party marketing tool in any way shape or form. The video is well done, well produced and took time and effort to make...I can respect that :coffee:

Yep totally agree. It was genuinely really well made and I thought it was fun :)

Just disagreeing with Intrepid’s "Nothing about any of this is faked" stance is all ;)

I think most people recognise that machinima is about stretching games to be what you want, rather than what they are too. (Although I do reckon a newcomer would still be shocked to learn that the Reclaimer isn’t much more than a $400 flyable prop ;))

Do you play the game?

What part of that boarding action video was faked?

Let's just call it 'staged' and be done with it shall we?

All this talk of faked or not faked in relation to a video game about pixel spaceships is doing my nut in.... :D

No, lets not, what does that even mean.

Do you play the game? What part of that boarding action video was faked?

I'm seriously not taking part in this increasingly belligerent back and forth...I've arranged exactly the same scenario aboard my Caterpillar more than once...Starfart too. I know it wasn't faked...and mighty surprised you even dropped that one on me in particular. However, it was a 'player arranged or organised' scenario...was what I meant to suggest, not part of day to day gameplay for the majority of people playing Star Citizen...if you know what I mean :)
