They might look a bit low level - and if CIG continues their operations, expect that to improve - but I like idea and I hope to see this on ED primitive atmospheric planets. Cliffs with sand makes quite a nice contrast and reminds me of SWTOR Tatooine which imho is best planet in that game.

Indeed NPC in SC 3.0 are acting totally like people in real life.....it´s just seems atm that they are mimicking a bit more idiots and jerks
All these SC videos going like this for me - ohhh, this look rather nice....(avatars start move)...ok they are bit stiff but hey visuals...(item 2.0 menu comes up).......WHY? It looks bad!....(things start to glitch out)....wow this is bad.
I am guessing I am at that age that gameplay just thrumps graphics for me. And I strongly dislike item 2.0, why no radian menu? Something better, smarter?

They are. CIG has done this - and you can even find official references in leaks. They have hired multiple 'social marketing' companies to do this.
And it frankly works because I believe that's how they stayed afloat for last two years.

I think he feel scammed. And when someone feel scammed, he feels personally threatened by someone who did all this - ergo, CIG.
So personally I understand why. Smart way would be just leave and don't get it all full angry, but we are different so for someone like him this most likely is source of huge tension.
Let's say their PG system is in very early stages. That doesn't mean that they can't get it right - with time it is possible - but 2016 3.0 version never did exist and CIG deliver false promises of full system coming up in 3.0.
Everywhere I look I see colossal amount of work for CIG and almost no money left to make it work.

I see that Cutlass needs a raised seat to make the placement and size of the cockpit from the outside work inside of the ship. The planetary surface looks quite crap, to be honest, at least not "16GB of RAM might not be enough" good.

3.0 will release with less content than originally envisioned (some of it was taken out to accomplish a release), which they can add back bit by bit on a quarterly basis per the new release schedule. Opening the way for SQ42 focus. There is an opportunity here also to shrink the cost base, since we don't know far along SQ42 is.

I for one am most intrigued to see what state we're at with SQ42. It's the only real reason I've shown any interest in the project as a whole.

I don't expect miracles at this point. Truth to be told, Squadron 42 no show really surprises me, because at this point CIG could have produced kick content from material they have. So either they struggle with postproduction and all rumours over the years with screwed up mocap data along with rewrites have been true, or they just don't give a damn because SC brings money in and SQ42 is just their debt to old players looking for Wing Commander legacy.

My guess is a high fidelity trailer made by an outside contractor.
Who knows maybe they are even close to the release of SQ42 but I believe they will keep it secret as long as they can just because they are certain that if they show some actual game play content from SQ42 many backers will finally realize that this is not their dream-game,so I guess it´s better to keep them in this "we are still in alpha&anything can change" dream state as long as they can......
