Star Citizen Discussions v7

Its an internet problem. When you're prone to careless spending, there's an army of people ready to enable you. I'm into synthesizers, and I see exactly the same stuff in that scene as with SC. People sharing tips on how to hide stupidly expensive stuff from the wife, sharing tips on how to cut corners on vastly more important stuff while telling you your next purchase will truly bring you the joy you need. Its not a good excuse, but I honestly do feel for them. When you already have this weakness, the last thing you need is a bunch of people making it worse.

Unrelated note: apologies to Red Anders. :(
I'm gonna make it worse... I buy allot of synths, but I got 'em and I can sell them. SC has failed on so many levels on deliverance it is like me apologizing for a synth that I have to repair now and again and that lacks some functionality it was advertised with; I mean, if I had been in on the Kickstarter I would quickly, well after 3 years at least, have serious questions about the project and probably recoup my investment as I would see it as not only failed but mismanaged and would feel rightly to get my money back as they did not manage my pledge in a good way (which could be disputable as they put out allot of fluff and some tech demos).

Can't really fit that much more into my studio.... Guess I'll get that Behringer Model-D and the 2600 if they get around to it... yeah, and some more modules for my rack... and Dreadbox is gonna release Medusa next year soo..... I got it bad haven't I :D

*quick before the Yaffle comes*

Have you seen the 'server accident' by Behringer a few days ago? Products in 'design phase': Arp 2600, EMS Synthi, the WASP, Octave CAT, SH-101 and MS20. Just started down a very, very slippery slope myself this week as well...

Man, that Idris is starting to look pretty cheap...

If they are allowed to data mine the source code, it's gonna be interesting for sure :)

Well, if CIG has done what they said then they have rewritten about 50% of the original engine, ported everything else to Lumberyard and most likely edited their code again to mesh with Lumberyard.

It can be hell trying to find "your" code in that. Even harder if some Lumberyard code is identical to some CryEngine code.

EDIT: There might be issues with CIG also having former CryEngine programmers they can use to counter claims from CryTek as well.

This may not sound like a serious question (which shows jut how wonky all this is), but have CIG ever done what they said ?.

but the thing is, it's not that hard to see if it's original CT code or not, and until then i will just wait and see what the result will be, my guess is that it's gonna be gold to watch all the lies from CIG burn into a mega fire from hell.
