lol Brian Chambers confirmed they're aiming for December.
to be positive - visually it does looks great
makes me want space legs in Elite even more.
And yes, from what I can tell they do fly seamlessly from space to surface.
Shame flight model is still no existent.
Linky please?
Note that everyone runs EVERYWHERE.EVA, Space Legs, moving from ship to SRV, to another ship - thats is cool. I want that I Elite badly now, I can wait for gameplay, just let me walk FD!
We are watching live from gamescom, hard to link direct part atm.
Ok, so we have to wait for the full clip to be available for later view I presume. Although I would imagine something as serious as a delay to December would have already been commented on Spectrum or Reddit and I cant see it.
What I really do like is how planet surface/lighting looks, I cant tell if this is really entire moon with this lvl of details and terrain variety but if so, our beige balls looks quite bad now. Also I haven't notice any jarring pop-ing and terrain loading for the most time too. And yes transition is seamless.
Semi clickable cockpits are a great addition too, looks wonky atm but idea is very welcome. I like their SRV, and it looks like it follows the terrain and not sliding.

But the flight model that is almost the same for hover bike and giant ship - they seriously need to work on that, it looks terrible. And also lets be honest - game play wise it was bunch of guys messing around in fantastic looking Gmod map![]()
Note that everyone runs EVERYWHERE.
If it was really that cool would they be doing that, or is that letting you clearly see they're already kinda bored with it?
And yes transition is seamless.
Planet tech is something they have nailed pretty well tbh, they have done a lot of work making sure things look in place too rather than just objects badly placed on the landscape, I still come accross proc structures in Ed where one or two corners of building don't even make contact with the ground![]()
Does it count as transition if there's no space? One of the streamers got out of their spaceship in "space" and fell toward the ground. There's no space up there.
That is how space works when you aren't in orbit.
To be fair, each and every structure is hand placed in Star Citizen and because there are so few of them they can spend the time ensuriing they are correct from every angle.
So they're not going into space they're just flying up really high.
Unless they demonstrate flying from the surface to one of their stations it's safe to assume they can't do it and all this is just a big map unconnected to the rest of the game.
Can someone please explain the trading card thing in detail? I can't watch anything till I get home - but that particular gem made me splutter coffee all over my surface proI predicted such nonsense years ago
